You've got options big boy...especially if you're senior to me.

You aren't "feeling the love?" Do you need a hug? How about a trip to Mamby Pamby Land you jackwagon.

And you think your paycheck is the only one that's been shrinking? You think us DAL south guys haven't seen ours shrink? Yep, we're taking away all of your money and your QOL...that's why all of the fleet captains are Southies. You're missing the point...and in a big way.

OK, let me tone down my rhetoric. The point is we are one big airline and pilot group now. I get paid the same that you do, I wear the same uniform that you wear, I fly under the same ops procedures that you fly under....To keep bringing up the tired old arguments that we were having 3000 pages ago is, well, tired. Look into just exactly what fleet captains do, and if you feel like its still something you want to ***** about, go for it.

Thanks - saw that, but that isn't it. I think those are at or near the G.O., for G.O. people, not for the pilot rif-raf.

That's how we did it at NWA. And I think it made a better product. The school house knew what was expected on the line, and the LCA knew what was being taught in the school house.

Why tone it down?

Ok, then who is responsible for operations and/or policies? Who is that on the Whale, A330 and the A320? If I don't understand the wire diagram, please edumakate me.............honestly, I'm not being a jerk, I want to know.
At fNWA the fleet captain was usually a very senior high time person that would come off the bid list for the aircraft he was on as well as being an instructor on the aircraft. Open door policy and usually would get a briefing from him at your yearly CQ if time permitted. He was pretty much in charge of policy and procedures as well as training. If you had an issue or problem he was the go to guy. I am with Ferd on this one and there seems to be a void here at DAL compared to what we were used to, but we probably haven't been properly educated yet.

LOL, ok, I take back that part. I think he still needs a hug and apparently we aren't all giving him one. I know I certainly feel the love when I go through DTW and MSP.

That was the beautiful thing in that you just went in and flew the sim for your check ride just like you flew the line. SOPA (standard operating procedures amplified). Not, well that is what the book says but this is what we do or that is in the oe guide etc. Trying to keep an open mind.
