Its very difficult if not impossible to run overseas bases. Japan for sure would not allow US pilots to live and work out of Japan. They would require that you exhaust all efforts to high citizens of Japan first to staff the fleets before they would approve green card type status for non citizens. AMS might be a bit easier but I believe you would fall under EU laws and again you would have to higher a EU citizen first. I know Fedex runs a hub in Europe and they had to place a big airbus order to get permission. I think however the pilots are still based in the US and deadhead over. CAL has their base in Guam for the exact reasons I mention above and that is why Delta considered a Guam base.

Hey guys,

If I want to swap a trip on my line with a trip in open time do I use:

PCS

Swap with Pot?

Plus on Crew Scheduling & Resources it says they have changed the multiplier for some categories to 1.5 for December. In short, what does this mean? Doe's it make it more difficult to swap with the pot? I'm checking my contract now......

Thanks.

Capncrunch, I would not worry too much about the AK group. They will very likely be fenced from a significant portion of the DAL fleet. Any equipment larger than a 737 will have some type of restrictions. Just ask any of the old nwa green book guys about the Roberts award and fences.

I used to want this, now I'm not so sure. Most of those guys will be put in front of me. As it stands now, I could be SEA 76 in 2 years. We add AK and I can kiss that goodbye.

*I think this may be why we are securing more cash. Just reading the leaves.

Yes, hard if not impossible. look at the reserve req-vs-avl for DEC. compared to NOV. see any difference?

So I got a question. Does unstacking total negate your seniority? I asked for the 25th and 26th off and was awarded a trip on the 26th due to unstacking, but two guys junior to me got trips starting on the 27th with the 25th and 26th off. Both of those pairings would have worked on my schedule and my trip on the 26th would have work on both of their schedules. My request was denied, but the pilots junior to me were granted the days I wanted... Does unstacking just say FU to seniority?

I could have sworn that Monty Python did it also...but I couldn't find it either.

Precisely, which is why the 73 and 320 guys on the west coast will get boned instead.
