Ok DAL wizards, I cannot find the answer anywhere. I bid reserve in DEC for the holidays off. I am off from the 22nd to the end of the month. I have to bid golden days. I thought you bid them in a block but it is listed as days in DBMS. As long as I have the 22nd or 23 as a golden day, I am set. How do I do that. I have listed the days in a row (ie 22, 23, 24, 25) Not sure if that is the best strategy or even correct. Any help would be appreciated.

IMO as long as you cover the 22nd you're good for Christmas, but if you want to utilize them all then list some other off days AFTER the 22nd. If list only the 22nd it will probably just stack from the 22nd on.
Enjoy Christmas off.

Hi Guys,
A question for you money hungry holiday workers bees.... I have a regular schedule for December and I am working the last two weeks of the month. Doing the holiday thing first part of the month and GF is out of town with her family, so can one of you green slippers explain how the green slip with conflict works. I have a few days off before the holiday (19-22) and would like to make some extra cash. Will they award you a trip in open time (say 22,23,24,25 & 26th) and drop your conflict trip or do they beak-up the open time trip. Thanks in advance, first time green slipper. Not sure of the process.

AP,
I recommend the following:
Put in a blanket GS W/c for the whole month.
Put in a blanket GS for the whole month.
GS W/c is very far down the list of how trips are assigned (# 22 for trips reporting with less than 12 hours) and consequently very rare. However a GS can pop up at any time. Be advised by putting in a blanket GS you are saying that if called you will accept the trip. Scheduling will call and leave a message if you don't answer. They will give you about 10 minutes to respond before moving down the list.
GS are hit and miss and sometimes you can see them coming but other times with wx and mx issues they come out of the blue. I would say for every GS I do I miss at least two or three. But my strategy is to put in blanket slips and then live a normal line-holder life - if it works out great but I don't plan on it.
Not sure about breaking up trips - perhaps some more contract savvy poster will add to the discussion.
Good luck - Scoop
Greens Slip with Conflict Info.
Disregard, I found out what I needed in TWG notepad 9-11. I am posting it below for any others that have questions about GSWC:
A Green Slip with Conflict (GSWC) is a request by a regular pilot to fly open time that overlaps
with a rotation currently on his/her schedule or that will create an FAR/PWA conflict. These
requests have a low priority under Section 23 N. and O. and are awarded after all options for
White Slips, a reserve assignment or Green Slips have been exhausted. Under a GSWC:
• The conflicting trip is removed, and the pilot has no obligation for 23 K. Rotation
Guarantee Recovery flying.
• The pilot is paid single pay and credit for the trip removed and single pay, no credit for
the trip flown. A number of pay examples are included in Section 23 U.
• The pilot is eligible to be awarded/assigned an additional trip(s) that operates during the
period when the conflicting trip was removed.

I am going to follow your advice and keep my fingers crossed.

Actually the bolded above is not correct. You can still depost up to 60 hours positive bank. Here is part of the contract for Full Service Bank:
NewK,
As all have said 3b above is what happens. If you are not negative bank you will get paid all your hours.
Denny
O. Full Service Bank
1. A pilot’s bank will have an account balance that is positive, negative or zero.
2. A bank balance is subject to the following limits:
a. A positive bank balance may not exceed 60 hours.
b. A negative bank balance may not exceed 30 hours.
3. In each bid period:
a. a pilot may deposit into his bank account up to 20 hours of credit that is accumulated
in excess of 80 hours in such bid period.
b. the first five hours of credit a pilot accumulates in excess of 80 hours will be
automatically applied against a negative bank balance. Such repayment does not
constitute a deposit.
c. a deposit will be applied against a negative bank balance.1. A pilot’s bank will have an account balance that is positive, negative or zero.

It's celebrate the Royal Engagement night!!!
Folks, I introduce you to Prince William's future wife Kate Middleton and potentially, one day, our BFF's in England's future Queen.
And I didn't even touch the swimsuit shots yet.
So go to images.google.com, search Kate Middleton, and post with any post you make because, honestly, it's Kate Middleton night.

tsquare,
Thanks for your reply and you are not raining on my parade. I know it's a long shot and I am going to be in town. So, why not give it a try, maybe I will even get a Powerball ticket, the Vikings will turn it around and Army will beat Navy this year.

PB Days?
I've got 2 PB days that I'm going to try to use to drop a 5 day trip.
Scheduling tells me that as long as every day of the 5 day has adequate coverage, the drop will be approved. Does anyone know how much I will be paid for this?
Is it 3:00/day for the 2 days? Is it the value of the first 2 days? Can I choose which 2 days I'd like to be paid for (unlikely I know, but I'd obviously rather drop the 2 highest block days?)
Any ideas? If it's only worth 3/day then I'll just save them for vacation days next year.
Thanks.
