Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Well that wouldn't be ideal. Hopefully, we'll make a decision soon, one way or the other, and it won't be "right before" Section 6. In any case, I would rather have a union focused on restoration fighting for me than a union that has already essentially conceded defeat. At this point, it seems better to me (especially considering the urgency of Section 6 around the corner) to replace the dysfunctional union with a new one rather than trying to fix something that is just too far gone. But hopefully we can do it the hard way if we have to. Either way, I don't think any of us should give up.

Just wanted to add to the 717 rumor. Neighbor near me is a 4th floor bubba. Slipping an extra shot or two in a cocktail can yield some interesting information. When the 717's were brought up we started talking about buying another airline with 717's. Then there was talk about 3 or 4 potential airlines that had things we wanted. Seems these folks are interested in airlines with pics of people on the tail.
ps. anyone know how to post a pic off of picasa to this site? I did this months ago and can't seem to get it to work now. Used to be I'd click on the little pic with the sun and mountain and insert the 'embed' link from picasa. Now that doesn't seem to work.

Of course AS can buy HI and get via our current code share up to 50% of the seats on any flight that HI which now would be AS operates.
Only problem stopping there is that it is way to big of a hole in our network if AS is bought by someone. It could be step one though.

Hey.
Does anyone know how to get pay/hours from your bank? I worked 90+ hours in October, but from what I understand, the first 5 over 80 automatically went into my bank. Of course, greedy me, I want it all.

Since alpa is a multi-airline multi national corporation, I question it's dedication to the DELTA pilot efforts other than maybe payrates, and that is a self serving interest. I really am beginning to have my doubts as to the sincerity of the national organization with respect to the DELTA pilots' needs. And I am talking about strictly the Delta pilots here. It is clearly a conflict of interest.

I think it only goes in your bank automatically if you have a negative bank balance.

It will only deduct 5 hours from over 80 if your bank is negative, so as long as your bank is not negative, it should pay you the entire 90hrs. We no longer have -positive- bank, you just get paid the full amount, but you can borrow up to 30 (go negative) to fill up a short month. Then when ever you go over 80 in future months, it will take up to 5 back to fill up what you borrowed to fill up in earlier months.
Clear as mud?

There is another thread for this.. but... you say something here that kind of struck a chord, and I wanted to comment here rather than try to go to the other place.

Thanks guys for the quick response.
I think us former NWA'ers had our banks transferred over,so I like most guys started with a negative 15 hours automatically. I now show a negative 9 hours. But, I'm not in the "mood" to pay it back right now (70 hours on reserve hurts
) So, how do I get that 5-6 hours back out of the bank?

I don't know if there are different "rules" for former NWA but if the rules are the same as south side, you should be able to go negative 30, so you go to Icrew, Pay, bank, and make a request to "fill up". If you are already negative 15 it should still be able to give you another 15, for a 85 month.
But....next month if you are stuck on res. at 70, you are screwed...because you will be max negative, unless you only ask for say, 5hrs. this month, that would leave you 10 more for future short months.
