Why aren't we using the easiest method first - PROFILE!! We subject average folks to the most demeaning searches because we don't want to appear to be discriminating.
The PC insanity has to stop. Call a spade a spade and search the folks who fit the profile. Frisk a couple of random folks but I'm pretty sure you can skip the little kids and the grandparents. The hot mothers of the kids however, are a different story!

Police are looking for a male or female of any age and color. Height between 18" and 7'. If you believe you may have seen this person or persons please inform local law enforcement.
But when it comes to spending resources to catch someone who wants to take down an airliner or worse, well then the sky's the limit because the paramount goal is to not offend anyone with evil tactics such as "profiling."Last edited by GunshipGuy; 11-15-2010 at 03:16 PM. Reason: grammar
I was wondering the same thing myself.........
My thoughts?
1. Refinancing some debt at better rates...
2. Building a war chest for an AS bidding war...
3. Down payment on 100 seat jet...
4. Building a war chest for an HA merger...
5. Financing the next anti-union drive against AFA and IAM.

I agree. DAL is prepping for a few things in your list.

Speaking of which, when do the MD-95s start showing up?
We got a new LOA number 26. Appears that they are going to redo the way we get paid. There are a few other changes. All and all, these changes are from resolutions that were passed at LEC meetings from around the system.
Reps will be briefed at this MEC meeting on the details as I understand it, but the change in the way our pay is dispersed will be completed by mid next year.

Do the ACLU and others who think it's racist to profile when a child is kidnapped, or a serial killer is on a killing spree? How would that go over?

"Free speech and the right to protest on public streets and sidewalks it extends to all Americans even if their messages are distasteful and unpopular," says ACLU attorney Tony Rothert, "the government can't pick and choose whose rights its going to honor."
Begs to wonder who the bigger scumbag, the one protesting or the one protecting the protesters.
Eventually we will become so cautious with our freedoms, liberties, and rights that one day we will undoubtedly wake up with none left...
Airlines Call on FAA to Withdraw ‘Onerous’ U.S. Pilot-Rest Plan
U.S. airlines called on the Federal Aviation Administration to withdraw its first proposed overhaul of pilot-fatigue rules in 15 years, saying the plan is too costly, onerous and defective.
The Air Transport Association, the Washington-based trade group for major carriers including Delta Air Lines Inc. and United Continental Holdings Inc., released its comments on the FAA plan today in Washington.
