While I agree with your statement to an extent, we have become so concerned with our freedoms and liberties, at times, we are so fearful to react in any way that could be identified as discriminatory.
What if the terrorists father (a well respected businessman in Africa) walks into an embassy a few days early, tells the embassy that his son has travel privledges and has been acting looney to the point you think he may do something explosive against the US. Then said son walks into the AMS airport with cash, buys a one way ticket to DET on XMAS day without luggage and wearing explosive underwear.
Could the TSA stop that...... apparently not, probably too close to the holidays.
Lemme see, Billions and billions of dollars spent and we cant even stop the self declared, obvious terrorists. Did anyone in the gov lose their jobs over that oversight that but for the grace of god failed to kill the hundreds of pax on the dal flight?
Didn't think so.

Most of those dogs come from Europe. HEre in America, the wonderful AKC has bred all the traits out of the dogs that are desirable so that they "look good"... Well.. that's what a Sheriff told me anyway...

If the TSA doesn't run off all our pax, Clark Howard will. I'm listening to him now singing his praises of AirTran/SWA, and what a great idea it is to drive to BHM from ATL to get into their network. He's absolutely giddy over these great deals! I've never heard him bash another company the way he does to Delta.
Clark Howard is an ass.

Make sure you download the checklist and print it and post it prominently in your house with the "30 Days to reset your 300 hour sick clock" highlighted.

Several DAL-N guys were never told about the checklist or the 30 days and are now stuck at 300 hours sick used over the last 36 months.

No help from the CP. No help from ALPA. Just another thing we were supposed to absorb via bulletin I guess.

Edit: I have been told DPMA checklist is not a DAL Document. I'm sure there is an obscure reference to the 30 day rule somewhere in a DAL document. Bears me where it is located.

Why are we issuing asset-backed bonds, when we have so much cash?

I'm going to LMAO when Clark Howard has to eat crow because prices don't go down in ATL.

My guess is they're paying off higher interest debt early like they did with some of the secured exit financing earlier this year. They took two obligations that totaled nearly $1.4 billion and only refinanced $900 million of it...net debt reduction $500 million.

I was wondering the same thing myself.........

My thoughts?
1. Refinancing some debt at better rates...
2. Building a war chest for an AS bidding war...
3. Down payment on 100 seat jet...
4. Building a war chest for an HA merger...
5. Financing the next anti-union drive against AFA and IAM.

The rules are very complex for both disability and DPMA. It is a complicated combination of when you run out of sick leave, how much you were paid (36 months highest pay), whether you were eligible for Worker's Comp (whether you applied or not), State Disability (whether you applied or not). The worst thing is you may will probably miss most deadlines if you have all or most of your sick leave because you will not find out about it until after you need. What I mean by that once you get sick you don't think (unless you have something serious like a heart attack or cancer, God forbid) that you will actually need disability. Found all this out the hard way. Everyone beware - can be very expensive if you miss a deadline -
DELTA will automatically deduct benefits whether you receive them or not.

Recommend you call or write them and get a great checklist:
