Do we get some S2 passes ever year? Or a higher then normal boarding priority?

You have six S2 passes allotted to you and your dependents, which are recharged on your hire date.

Ergo, You, spouse, and kiddos. Not parents or step parents.

Correct, except if you don't have a spouse, your parents get the S2s instead.

True, been a long time for me on that one. I have had a companion or a spouse for quite some time. Parents get their passes kicked down to SA 3C status if you have either a spouse or travel companion.

Delta Flight Attendants' Union Rejection May Be Voided by U.S. - Bloomberg

Delta Flight Attendants' Union Rejection May Be Voided by U.S.

By John Hughes - Nov 5, 2010 10:49 AM CT Fri Nov 05 15:49:16 GMT 2010
Delta Air Lines Inc. flight attendants’ vote to reject union representation may be nullified by a U.S. labor board controlled by Obama administration appointees, according to a senator and an analyst.
The National Mediation Board, which in August ordered a new election for technicians who work on simulators for Delta, will take similar action after reviewing flight-attendant allegations of company interference in balloting, said Ray Neidl, an analyst at Maxim Group LLC in New York. “The deck is stacked in the union’s favor,” he said in an interview.
Democratic appointees of President Barack Obama gained a majority on the three-member board last year, and in May eased the rules for organizing elections in the airline industry. Given that stance, the panel will probably order a revote by the flight attendants, said Senator Johnny Isakson, a Georgia Republican.
“Nothing tells me they won’t do that,” Isakson said in an interview.

Give their decision on the simulator techs and their reasoning, I would not be surprised at all to see this happen.

Default Another Reserve Question

I am sure this has probably been answered already....2 of us on RSV; both have 2 days available. The one with the higher RAW goes on a 2 day while the lower RAW sits Long Call.

Is this right? Why?

Thanks

Depends, if the scores are close, the other guy could have put in a YS dropping his raw 15 points but missed the computer scan that makes the list - happens a lot in the morning.

Another way might be one of the folks had a short call leading in making them ineligible or something else we can't see. Drop me a PM with some specifics if you want or place 'em here and I'll answer as best I can (sitting SC).

As a fellow reservist, I feel your pain. The answer is you don't have all the information (not your personally, but everyone on reserve). The other guy might still be flying a trip. If the trip gets done before midnight today, he'll show up on the 2 day list, even if there is no way he/she could fly any trip that day. He could also be in rest from a trip that ended earlier today, so he can't fly one of the trips.

Or, like the other poster said, he could of put in a YS. The simple answer is there isn't enough information provided on the RAL (Reserve Availability List) to determine why someone got a trip or didn't get a trip. I've called the scheduler sometimes when I don't understand why I got a trip. Usually there is a explanation.
