That was close, as I figured it would be. I do not know what the breakdown was, but I am sure the ATL FA's voting en mass probably gave the "No's" a slight edge.

Looks like the AFA is fighting this as well.

I never intimated this would be good for you and I. I was implying that it would be good for the stock per the previous post.

NEW YORK (MarketWatch) -- Flight attendants at Delta Air Lines (DAL:$14.355,0$0.5050,3.65%) voted against organizing themselves into a collective bargaining unit, and ended 60 years of unionization at its Northwest Airlines unit, the Association of Flight Attendants said Wednesday. According to the union, Delta (DAL:$14.355,0$0.5050,3.65%) flight attendants voted 9,544 against AFA representation, versus 8,778 in favor. Shares of Delta (DAL:$14.355,0$0.5050,3.65%) , which have been down a fraction most of the day, reversed direction and added 5 cents to $13.91.

I think it's more like 48-52.

Not thrilled at all that I'm sitting short call in DTW tomorrow and am very likely to be used. I'm sure the mood up there will be nothing short of toxic. Here's hoping everyone can just move on, but I know better...

Flew with some Delta North FAs last week. They were adamant about how awful they knew flying with Delta South FAs would be. Consensus was a union was an absolute necessity, and without it life was going to be hardly worth living. Suffice it to say, they had nothing good to say about Delta South FAs. They gave me the impression they were determined to be miserable (personally and to fly with) when they start flying with Delta South FAs.

There were approximately 450 write-in votes for other than AFA representation that increased the "for representation" total.

Wow...........guess I missed that one....no over under beer for me

I'm glad I'm off for a few days. I don't know which will be worse, the poor losers or the reaction of the losers to poor winners.

One way or the other, I hope the company has a plan for soothing the loosing side. Especially since it's this close.
