Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

In this case Slow is 100% right, these numbers shown here are misleading. There is actually a net decrease in regional flying in these numbers. The 2007 numbers exclude pinnacle's 124 CRJ200 jet fleet, which is added in 2008. Note that the 349 should actually have increased to 473, however, 30 aircraft were parked during that period. The number of RJ's continues to decrease at a rapid pace.
How in the heck can they add 94 jets to the fleet between 2007 and 2008 and show lower ASMs?

Not only that, but Delta has chosen some of the worst regionals possible to outsource to, apparently.
The worst 4 regionals....
4. SkyWest
3. Comair
2. ASA
1. American Eagle

As the good ol boy Ricky Bobby say's "if you ain't first, your last."
America's Meanest Airlines
Delta had the worst AQR among major airlines with a -1.73, and a couple of its regional airlines did even worse (see Comair and Atlantic Southeast below). It also had the largest drop in passenger satisfaction in the American Customer Satisfaction Index.

People bought their ticket from Delta and when ASA screws up, Delta gets the complaint.
Gonna be hard to stay in business if we keep pi$$ing off so many of our customers.

You forget TSH.
DCI is the division that manages all Delta Connection Flying. (Delta Connection Incorporated) This includes all the non-wholly owned carriers ASA's. DCI is a wholly owned subsidrary of Delta Air Lines, and Delta Air Lines the holding company. Go look at DAL's corporate charts.
Affiliate carriers are the wholly owned ones. That is currently only Comair.

DAL has take the above and below wing away from most carriers, created Regional Elite Services in other cities and basically has made DCI ACMI esque. No matter what we do the jets do not carry what they need to, and 25 min hub turns do not work.
We at the mainline are starting to see the same issue with 47 min turns on a 757. It works above wing, but not blow wing. You can turn a 767 quicker with the bins. If one turn goes south during the day the a/c line is late all day.

Trust me, RA hates regional airlines......Why? His pay and bonuses are not based on regional airline performance as the other employee groups at DAL are. Regional costs are a drag on Delta stock, and thus his pay. Look at the other airlines that are expanding their regionals and you'll likely see that the mainline exec's are tied into their FFD contracts in some way.

Here's the info we were looking for on RJ codeshare agreements.
It is buried in the notes to the consolidated financial statements:
Look at pages 86, 87 and 88. The outsourcing agreement details and durations are on page 88.
The really stunning number is that we are on the hook for $16.6 billion in "minimum fixed obligations" to our contract carriers over the life of those agreements. That's some serious cash. And it doesn't even count Comair, Compass or Mesaba.

This is "good work", if you can get it --
.
Some folks are going to get several MILLION dollars this year.

We need to hire the negotiators who got this deal:
