What a joke - I hope she laughed her ass off!

Oh wait, thats right - we are supposed to forget that DAL screwed us and be one happy family now.

I remember thinking after my first of 5 furloughs: "Wait a minute...I thought you said I was family!"

Even back in 1979, managements were using that "family thing" as they saw fit. I sure remember a mother-in-law that I would have furloughed in a heartbeat!

I hope this helps. Good luck.

PLEASE. From experience twice last year (Hilton Airport PBI and SLC Marriott-Residence Inn) do the above and ...

CALL the county health department and report it.

If it is not reported to them, it never happened and the evidence to an infestation will be covered up. At that point, good luck in getting reimbursement for any damages i.e. luggage, home exterminating, doctors bills, lost pay, etc.

Are you going to Manaus and taking a dip in the Amazon? If so, you also need to worry about the penis fish too.

$4K to exterminate them from your dwelling. Less if you are living in a van down by the river, or, in an LAXAPA lot .

Get the proof just in case. Call the County Health Department. This is one of the things I learned from working for ALPA doing hotel stuff.

Whoa. Hold on. It says that it can swim up ones urethra and grow to 16 inches! As Les Grossman would say, that makes for one big......never mind.

Just to add....if the management gives you any crap or is less than helpful. grab a salt shaker, empty it, collect a few of the bugs and place them inside of the shaker.

They make a great visual when dealing with the hotel management, particularly if there are other guests nearby. Additionally, the evidence comes in handy later if needed. My favorite was when they told me that what was in the shaker were not bed bugs.

I replied that since they were the lodging experts and were most likely right, then I'd let these little critters loose on their nice lobby couches or perhaps somewhere back upstairs near where I found them.

Got their attention quickly.

Overall it is just weird.

Something I know I will never forget. What's worse, our own union facilitated the RJ growth to export our jobs. ALPA lost me more than Delta did. I expect a company to try and get away with all it can. I don't expect my union to help them.
