So when DAL furloughed me and over 1100 other guys and gals (while ASA and COMAIR were hiring as quick as they could) I guess all we had to do was say "Gee I wouldn't mind being furloughed but I invested a lot of time and money in my career - so I would prefer to remain employed."
What a joke - I hope she laughed her ass off!
Oh wait, thats right - we are supposed to forget that DAL screwed us and be one happy family now.

Even back in 1979, managements were using that "family thing" as they saw fit. I sure remember a mother-in-law that I would have furloughed in a heartbeat!

$4K to exterminate them from your dwelling. Less if you are living in a van down by the river, or, in an LAXAPA lot
.Get the proof just in case. Call the County Health Department. This is one of the things I learned from working for ALPA doing hotel stuff.

They make a great visual when dealing with the hotel management, particularly if there are other guests nearby. Additionally, the evidence comes in handy later if needed. My favorite was when they told me that what was in the shaker were not bed bugs.
I replied that since they were the lodging experts and were most likely right, then I'd let these little critters loose on their nice lobby couches or perhaps somewhere back upstairs near where I found them.
Got their attention quickly.

Might have been some training issues but other than that, I cannot imagine nor have I heard of this happening before. Might be a misunderstanding. If DAL now does not need all of the 744 bodies due to a change in forecasting they would have to cancel the bid, or have a AE in Nov or so to cancel these out.
