Chente, I understand.
There are some that have a poking stick and they like to poke people in the eye whenever the opportuntiy presents, and I do mean both, and sometimes its for no other reason than to be ugly.
Just be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to become angry, turn the other cheek and possibly flick them off as you walk away.
But we're all Delta pilots now. And our problem isn't each other, its codeshares and regionals coupled with external things like age 65 just happening or the DOT in bed with the likes of SWA. Its LAX losing to Alaska, 767 becoming all ER, 765s leaving ATL and replaced by 330s that ATL pilots can't bid, its DC9s being parked, its 742s being parked, and whatever else we can think of. There is a lot to deal with
Just ignore all together or address the individuals individually when it happens but the FNWA vs FDAL should be dead... or we'll be dead in the water.
Everyone better.

Well I get tired of hearing you whine about fnwa guys raiding your bases and airplanes and trying to argue who got screwed more.
My gawd, leave it alone. No one is forcing you to come on this board or this thread. I'll also remind you that you have the option to ignore all posts by any user, you just need to add them to you 'ignore list'. It's likely that the users you claim continue to whine are a limited few, so how about you take advantage of that ignore feature.

I am not very eloquent in my comments but you said it better than I ever could. That is what I was trying to say, stop complaining about what was, and start fighting TOGETHER against what is, which is SWA. We have a good thing going here, it's not as bad as some people make it out to be.
I am patiently waiting to "invade" ATL though
Remember, we really are all Delta pilots now. We might move down in our bases, I have, we might get MD'd, I have, but thats not necessarily the merger. We've got regionals to deal with, codeshares with Alaska killing LAX, age 65 kicking in, DC9s parking, 742s parking, 765s leaving ATL and replaced by 330s that ATL pilots can't bid on, SLC switching from MD90s to 320s, 767s becoming all ER, DOT in bed with SWA killing the slot swap expansion.
What we do have as a group is one hell of an airline going forward, or imagine a Delta today without the merger with SWA coming to town?
A tiger's got to crouch before it pounces and just ignore the naysayers and those whose words are ugly- on both sides of the pre-merger lists on this thread.
But love those whose pictures are hot.
aw dang, chente, you got my post before I deleted it. Oh well, I'll sound like a broken record.

Maybe now that this SWA merger has been announced, the FNWA pilots will stop being the perpetual complainers they have been up to this point (As if they really got shafted with this merger) and step up and use that energy to make DELTA the airline it can be.
I know a lot of you are thinking this, I am just the one who said it

The family's in a meeting, and we're in no mood for nonsense.
We've got a varmit problem.
What he said. ^^^^

For the record, the 330 is not a fenced aircraft.

Right, so let me clarify, 765s moving out of ATL to JFK while 330s based outside of ATL do 765 flying thus ATL pilots living in base either commute or move down to another aircraft, all coupled with 767 shrinking considerably into the 7ER category.
BUT, hopefully ATL 330 will come on the moab bid in January, or NYC 330 will replace NYC 765 and the planes will come back, i.e. seats at the top of the totem poll will come back to ATL and people will finally get off my airplane and let me move back to where I was or up further. Some of that is thanks to the merger obviously since they had 330s to bring in and move 765s northeast.
Maybe the 320 will come in and provide more seats? Thanks to the merger we might get that relief.
None of that of course compares to LAXs situation with Alaska. Or CVGs continuing decline now with DTW around the corner. Or SLCs shake up. We probably all could've handeled it better if retirements weren't delayed or slot swaps were allowed by the chronys in DCA. We might have... we might have... we might have... we might have... and if 9/11 had never happened, well, we might have...
We've got a big airline, two good airlines merged, don't feel like playing the DALN vs DALS game at this point anymore or seeing it played by anyone else. In fact, I'm ready to just push back against it because right now all I want to see is us kick SWA's ass once and for all. And we'll do that with 9s, 88s, 90s, 737s, 320s, 319s, 747s, 767s, 757s, 330s, 777s and DC-7s.

I'm in!
It's time to put all the N vs. S stuff behind us and move forward as ONE group.
