Why argue about this stuff? We need a disgruntled United guy to overfly the field, do a barrel roll on final and land on the taxiway.............at the wrong airport! That'd give em something to talk about.

He needs to be drunk as well. High wouldn't hurt either.

The side stick offers an unimpeded view of the instruments. With roughly 2,000 hours in each, I prefer the side stick. I'd gladly fly the left handed version when seniority allows.

I prefer a side stick also. However in the Airbus application it works in what is essentially a control stick steering mode. I do not like that type of operation. That is one reason why Airbus pilots tend to bump the stick to make attitude changes. Fly by wire can be set up to work many ways and duplicate almost any type of handling. The airbus setup is simply not my favorite side stick or normal.

I'm kind of tall, so I've never had that problem. I guess it can be an issue for some people.

I guess I feel attached to the yoke. I can tell where the airplane is and what its doing by the feel. Do you get that same sense with the sidestick?

Tightie whities or boxers? Who cares?

Up is good, down is okay, could be bad, it depends. Throttles (power levers, whatever) forward = fast, throttles back = slow.

I've flown with both. Works great, lasts a long time. More importantly, where are the hot chicks pix? And the AE speculation?

This thread is getting really mundane.

Oh yeah, and the SLI blows. Those frikkin NWA guys.
