Can't believe FOX had to throw us to the dogs with the Amsterdam drunk pilot deal. I guess Buzz does not have any pull there. Anyway he was not over the US limit. Real bummer.

The modern news media will say whatever they have to say to push a story whether right or wrong.

Truly the drive-by media.

But you'd like to see somebody be better than that. If this was O'Reilly, even as a big FNC fan, I'd say ignore him. Their day morning to mid day crews are better than their prime time crew minus Gretta who actually does a good job.

The problem is you have to explain the situation, kind of like the TWY M incident. The key is for pilots is to professionally ignore it. I haven't flown the line since the AMS incident but it makes me wonder if were not going to be back into the situations we talked about months ago about the "are you drunk?" jokes that may require delaying the flight while we get tested.

And like FTB said, they keep it polished to a T. It had flown the day prior to my visit and there was a mechanic on a ladder cleaning the exhaust soot off an engine cowl with a hand towel and a spray bottle.

I'm coming on the side door on this one, but if what CE says.. is true... I think maybe we need a new contract language guy. Are we really discussing whether a company is a "holding company" and doing said flying or an "air carrier" and doing said flying? Really? Lawyers... they ALL suck. And that seems to be a pretty big loophole that even I could run thru with a weak Offensive Line...

Go to hell gators!

lol - because FOX news is looking out for YOU as an airline pilot. (any news organization for that matter)

I don't watch any of the 24 hour news networks, I just wanted to point out the extreme naivete of this post.

******- I know your job is to support the Unions actions no matter what but the FAA has made it perfectly clear in a number of arenas who the responsible party is when it comes to the operation of an aircraft. It is the party with "operational control" not necessarily the certificate holder. Our contract is being violated by the entity who has operational control of all those certificates...Republic. It would not be stretch to make the legal case.

The CHOICE has been made not to go after them....but believe what you will and spin away since you are the all knowing *****...
