A standing bid preference for an AE will not be awarded if such award,
together with any VD/MD(s) for the same category, would create a surplus that would cause a displacement in the category.

Can't decide if I want to displace to the ER or stay on the 320...hmmm. I think I've changed it 5 times now. Either way you could out of base GS or WS on either one and you would make more money on the ER. I just don't want to go to class twice within a year.

You guys are right.
Make it a flesh wound instead.

IF they make the vacancies equal to the surplus.

Damn skippy! Hey we don't have the talent to beat some of these teams so we are resorting to germ warfare.. as far as I know it isn't prohibited by the NCAA.

Go BIG... ORANGE!

Training twice in one year does blow. A friend of mine convinced me to go MSP7ER because of the out of base(SEA/NYC) GS/WS. That would usually equate to a a good international trip with override pay. That is what tipped the scale for me. I like flying international way more than domestic.

Plus, when SEA gets junior enough for me to bid in(or I get senior enough to bid in) there will be no training cycle.

I'll admit I could be wrong here, but if there are 20 vacancies they will be filled with AE's because they are run first. Then when they run the MD's if any of those guys are senior to the AE guys they will get the positions and the guys with AE's won't get it. It's not causing a displacement, the AE guy just won't get the award or if the MD guys don't have seniority they also won't get the award. The AE guys cannot bump a junior guy out of the category, but the MD guys can. However an MD cannot bump a guy senior to them who has an AE in for a vacancy. That is they way it was explained to me and maybe I heard it wrong, but I still think that a junior guy with an MD cannot prohibit a senior guy with an AE from taking a vacant position. That MD only allows them to bump someone junior out of the category.

Since we are all playing expert a out seniority, I predict the junior bases are wherever the DC9S are based excluding MEM.

He can if the AE together with the MD would cause a displacement.
The AE won't be awarded.
