Ha!, with a side of DFW-LHR and an A320 or MD90 doing DFW-JFK and make sure it only parks at T4.

Speaking of Texas, read this yesterday:
The Lone Star State leads the nation in job creation, is the top state for business relocation and has more Fortune 500 companies than any other state...

Why Yes, FtB it does and that is why DAL needs a piece of it.

165K ppl moved to TX last year, GA came in second.

Now the dude in the red shirt?

Who'd thought you could ever say "when throwing an axe long distances, try and look more like a man!"
The guy in the red shirt was one of the FAs I had flying with me into SFO last week. "Juan, in the rear" I think was how he answered the attendant calls.

Hey guys,

My new book is coming out on September 7th and I will be on Fox & Friends that morning (this is not an advertisement moderators, just passing on some info) and possibly O'Reilly and/or Hannity that evening. If any NYC based DAL bros are around then, love to share some lies over some beers downtown. Just let me know.

Today Kalitta Air bought 10 former NWA B747 freighters from Delta and 2 additional 747-200's and 120 JT9D engines.....Proving again that there is no money in cargo.

Okay, let's see if my count is up-to-date now. So far, we have

16 Delta's own MD-90s
9 ex-China Eastern already in GSO and ATL for modding
3 ex-Hello's owned planes already in GSO and ATL for modding
11 ex-China Southern (don't know about the 2 China-built MD-90s; bought for spares?) soon to be on their way.
These 8 planes (obviously not officially identified, but really, who else could it be?)

That's a total of 47 planes, plus the 16 JAL planes, which will hopefully be made official soon, which would put the total at 63 planes, which is pretty much the minimum fleet number Delta looked for, IIRC.

Now the only ones left on the market are the 11 with the EVA group in Taiwan (not planned for retirement), SV's 29 glass-cockpit birds, and the 5 Lion Air jets.
Delta has put all the original 3 Hello airplanes into service. There are 9 China Eastern in storage/mod for a total of 28 MD-90 on property. If these 8 airplanes in the SAS release are headed Delta's way they are most likely the remaining 3 Hello and 5 Blue 1 aircraft leased by those airlines from SAS. The original poster has the same numbers I do for JAL (16), EVA/Uni (11), and China Southern (13 with 11 US built and 2 China built).

Saudia had an accident with one of their MD-90's in May, 2009, and some websites show another one to storage in August after what looked like a significant APU fire event. That would leave them with 27 aircraft that are substantially different than Delta's. Lion Air crashed one, so they only have 4 left. I think they're not certified to operate to/from the EU, so I can only imagine what shape they're in. Uni had one burn up in 1999. 3 Air Aruba jets have been scrapped. There are several on planespotters listed in storage.
