In the Feb bid package there was a ton of domestic time. It is now part of their open time, not the 767 domestic.
We cannot even cover the time unless they exhaust all of the different slips on the ER Category.

The domestic trips vary from prime trips to your average 5 leg uncommutable days. I'm sure some folks would enjoy it and some would scream bloody murder. I'd love it.

I did think there would be more open time in February with this domestic flying but it was all eaten up a long time ago. We can go several days with 0 trips covered or if there are trips its usually 1-2 pops up covered by whiteslips. Of course call in sick Thursday is a different story.

Nothing new in the MSP 757 package one way or the other. Still have the NRT-GUM-NRT which I thought you guys started in March, must be April (still shows one A330)? Still doing some MDW for SWA but looks like your 757s will do the MSP-ATLs. We had those the last couple.

PS..........NO open time at all this month so far. One BOS-AMS poped up this morning.

Well, we have the 742's going away. The official word is in the next 12 months. You may see them offer some weak package for those guys to go.
It has been looked at from many angles. We even have a MOA for the company to "look" at early outs.
There is a lot in the matrix. It is not something I see happening until SOC and staffing are finalized.
I was throwing around the possibility of offering the pre JPWA medical to the FNWA guys as a way to get a bunch to leave. Of course, the word was that it would be quite costly. (Like I said, they are to look at it, and there are some options, but as we all know they are limited due to the lack of a non-frozen pension)

There has been white slips for four days on the 767 here in ATL for the last few days too. The WX in the NE might allow some of the reserves to see the airport, but it seems that the white slip pile is quite deep.

How many pilots are we talking about there? Looks like a repeat of the Pan Am deal for the FDL guys. Keep the pilots, get rid of their airplanes. Nobody's fault I know and nothing any of us has any control over but what a crappy industry. They had to know shrinkage was the plan when they sold the deal. A little bit of growth (maybe on the West Coast), some new airplanes, really get rid of some RJ's, and management could have made some friends with this group. Looks like they're going the other way.

I assume that you were responding to my query... It really isn't that hard to click the quote button... then your posts aren't so disenjoined from the ones to which you are responding... That being said, that makes sense... except that I see no advantage in offering a medical plan to get old guys out early; Since we really haven't hired in awhile, we have a pretty topheavy group wrt years of service - paygrade if you will, so there will be little savings there... I guess if they can quantify sick leave savings by the younger crowd.. then it makes some sense. I dunno.. It's way over my paygrade anyway.
