We aren't supposed to select business class when COBUS, unless offered by the gate agent when you check-in. That's probably what confused ya.
Thanks. I thought we were never to touch the business/first.

Buzz,
I know you don't want to have to go 30 pages back to catch up, so....
The latest word a few pages back is the AE will be out the first week of September with another one to follow in January.
For the September AE
20 crews for the 747-400
20 crews for the 777 and
?? crews for 7ers.
I don't know if the ??'s mean a lot or a little.

Delta to recall, hire flight attendants

Delta will soon recall flight attendants on voluntary furlough and begin external recruiting for regular and Language of Destination (LOD) flight attendants.
Joanne Smith, s.v.p.-In-Flight Service, said in a memo that while Delta is still determining exact numbers, the plan is to begin training in January and to have the flight attendants on the line by June 1.
“We do not expect the recall to fill all of our need, therefore, we will also simultaneously begin the internal (for company transfers) and external recruitment process for both regular and LOD flight attendants,” she said. “Of course, no job offers will be made to external applicants until the recall process is complete and all voluntary furlough flight attendants who have preferenced ‘any base’ or a base to which we are recalling have been offered a position.”
Joanne said that Delta expects to see more than 100,000 applicants, so employees should tell family members and friends interested in applying that the process could take several months.
Complete information about the recall and hiring process and employee referral program will be available soon in a dedicated section on the IFS page on DeltaNet.

Interesting.........I figured that the interpreter program would go away but I also wonder if they plan on hiring enough to replace the Asia flight attendants?

All positive movement though. Looks like thing are moving in the right direction.
No. If they are paid the same as they were when I was going out there, I doubt if the company would want to replace them. Did they get a raise, Ferd?
I think everyone cheats a little to fly a clean aircraft as long as you can, but perhaps configures a little earlier than what I saw on the M88/90, 757, 767, 737. I think it has a little to do with the technology and partly just because of the overall philosophy.
Interesting eh?
