Well, I'm about to bite the bullet and get a Droid, although I'd rather have an iPhone. But I'm not willing to leave Verizon. The plan is for my wife to keep her current phone (we have a family plan), and when/if the iPhone does come to Verizon (rumored to be in January), she'll still be eligible for an upgrade and I'll swap her iPhone with my Droid phone.
I've looked at the Droid X but that sucker's just too big. I like the size of the Incredible, but it feels flimsy and I've heard the battery life on it sucks. So it looks like the Droid 2 for me.
Nosmo, let me know what you think of it.

Looking out for the Windows Phone 7 also (due out in Nov?).
Don't miss what I don't have (haven't had a smartphone yet, sure I'd use the heck out of it, not really into paying the extra ($30)/ month when I just pared down my 3 phone family plan down to $70/month. A dollar saved is a dollar earned. Don't want to be relying on GS to top out the 401k at age 64.

Heyas ACL,
All the money guys in my neighborhood are running scared. They usually fall into the party-even-while-Rome-is-burning fraternity jock stereotype, but they've gotten all sullen and morose lately like they just got word their Rich Old Uncle Bill died, but left all his money to the cat.
DYODD... but cash is king.

Double post... must fill space...
how about this;
American Airlines is in advanced talks to bring alliance partners British Airways Plc and Iberia Lineas Aereas de Espana SA into one “premier” terminal at New York’s Kennedy airport to bolster overseas flights.
“It will require expansion and will be significant in terms of investment,” Art Torno, vice president overseeing American’s New York operations, said in an interview. “When we finish that terminal, it will be a watermark for everyone to shoot for.”
Putting the Oneworld alliance members under one roof would help AMR Corp.’s American counter Delta Air Lines Inc., which unveiled plans yesterday for a $1.2 billion renovation at John F. Kennedy International Airport. American and Delta are vying for passengers in New York, the biggest U.S. aviation market.
The cost and scope of the possible changes at American’s Terminal 8 are still under discussion with British Airways, Spain’s Iberia and the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which oversees JFK, Torno said yesterday.

Engine problem forces Delta jet back to LA airport
(AP) – 11 hours ago
LOS ANGELES — A Delta Airlines spokesman says a Detroit-bound jetliner was forced to return to Los Angeles International Airport after experiencing problems with an engine.
The Federal Aviation Administration says the pilot reported that a bird may have been sucked into an engine of the Boeing 757 just after 1:30 p.m. Wednesday.
However, Delta spokesman Kent Landers says a maintenance crew inspected the engine after the plane safely landed and found no indication of a bird strike. He says the crew will further evaluate to determine the cause of the engine problem.
The 179 passengers and nine crew members on the flight were placed on another aircraft that departed at 5 p.m.
