Does anyone know for how long the "bypassing" furloughees can still come back? It was my understanding that if they bypass and dont come back within 10 years they will eventually get erased from the list. If that's in fact true, then ten years from what date?
Just curious. Im junior and was wondering for how much longer Delta would/could be bringing back people senior to me.

Not to sound like Jerry Seinfeld here, but what's the deal with DAL's Non Rev dress code, and who the heck enforces it? I know the gate agents are supposed to, but based on some of the people I've seen in 1st class this past summer I can definitely say the gate agents are NOT enforcing the dress code.
The worst example I've experienced this summer was a family who was riding MIA-MEM. The entire family was in shorts, tank tops, and flip flops. They were all in first class, sunburnt and snacking away. As if their apperance for riding in 1st class for next to nothing wasn't bad enough, the mother had the audacity to complain when she found out they would have to switch planes in MEM. I'm guessing, because they might lose those 1st class seats. She said 'Well its says continuing service, so why do we have to get off'? The FA's explained, but it still wasn't good enough. Oh, and did I also mention that she blocked the aisle while looking for her tickets to try and prove the FA's wrong? Get out of the way!! Gotta plane to deboard here!! Lemme just say that it wouldn't have hurt that family to walk up the jetway. I'll just leave it at that.
Sorry for the rant, it just seems like DAL lets way to many sloppy dressed non-revs in first class. It's embarrassing, and contributes to the continuing downslide of air travel. Just wondering if anyone else is seeing this.

The deal is that there is no deal. The dress code went out the window about a couple years ago. Used to be suits for men (in my dad's age). When I was a kid, it was shirt and tie, then went to business casual. Probably 2-3 years ago, they changed it to "non-existant."
You can wear whatever you want. Something about the company not wanting the gate agents to have to fight with non-revs over what they were wearing and should instead focus on paying customers. Besides, my thought was the paying people probably dont know or care about who (or even what) is a non-rev, so who are we trying to impress here? I always thought they made us dress like that so we could pick out the other non-revs sweating it out at the gate 7 minutes before departure wondering what everyone's hire date was and who was gonna get on.

Jumpseating though is another story. Business casual or uniform, from what I understand....

No kidding. Just checked trip assignments today and saw that there is a rsv MSP 320Ca on his 7th GS. Even though it's single pay above guarantee...that's ummm some change.
This was a 3 day trip worth 20 something
