Heyas guys,

Another super duper extra special MEC meeting this week. Be sure to CALL your reps and ASK them what is going on with the current flow/scope issue.

I called the Chief Pilot Support Center and they got me to the right people. If I remember correctly they transferred me to the IT people who then gave me a username & password. Pretty simple actually, & no transfer of NWA stuff at all.

Buzz,

Sorry I missed you.....just got home last night from 2 wonderful days in MSP doing that recurrent thing.

Had a beer with a couple of SLC dudes, that I met on the hotel van, going through Busboy school.

They had cone heads just like all southiez.............just kidding, had a great time.

Hey Ferd,

Congrats on getting through for, I guess, another 9 months now. I'm teaming up with a fNWA captain, now an SLC guy, for my recurrent. Looking forward to giving him the southie "treatment." Might even turn him on to grits!

Have fun Buzz.............just remember to make him buy!!

It was actually an enjoyable time this year. I was alone (seat supported) which is nice, and an oral is sooooooo much nicer than a computer based test.

I don't know about the 737, but there was sure a lot more "stuff" packed into the profiles this year. The check itself wasn't that long, but then there was more training before and after the check (in addition to the stuff the day before). After the check, we did some "old school" stuff. We built an approach in the box and then flew a VOR approach with the HSI, heading select, V/S and raw data. Kinda cool, thought I was back in the 9 again.

Nine months won't be fun in the long run, someday I'll be in MSP during the winter. Avoided that all these years.

Enjoy them grits boy,
Ferd

Yeah, looking over the syllabus it looks pretty "fun-filled." I do like the 73N's training group, big picture, big boy approach. I'll make sure my buddy enjoys himself. Also, really glad we moved hotels in ATL. The old place was a dump. Maybe we have some fNWA guys in charge of hotels now.
