If they move the 330 they have been saying it would be on the Spring AE. Until the next one is posted, it is anyone's guess.

As for hiring. If the economy starts moving we should see some significant hiring. The more the merrier.

If they move the 330 I wonder how many of those senior guys will say screw commuting or bumping down to the 7er and just retire?

Here are a couple of nuggets I have gotten over the last week or so. Some were direct info some were dots connected, feel free to confirm or deny.

The 305 hiring number has been pushed to 450 to 500. A few things are holding it from going further north. The slot swap deal and the slowish economy. Good news is bodies are needed!

AE info dejour. No narrow body moves this time but there are some widebody and 7er moves coming. Expect to see the 330 come out of Seattle and move east. My guess it will happen next spring as they pump up the 7er on this next AE.
***** This will be interesting as SEA was VERY senior on the 330 and went very JR on the 7ER. The question is will the 330 guys bid a narrowish body pay scale or follow the WB pay.

Regarding hiring - whats the latest on the forthcoming new crew rest/duty limits? I have not heard much about this lately and it seems that the new regulations could greatly affect hiring positively or negatively depending on the details.

Questions to ponder, eh?

IMHO I am not sure if I see ALL of the 330 time moving from SEA.

Scoop

The comments made during the time where that was a front burner issue stated that the new limits would add no more than 300 bodies to our list.

Does the amount of block we actually fly effect our RAW? I've had 13 days of reserve this month, & I have flown/DH'd on 12 of them. My RAW is only 121. I would think it would be much higher, but most of the trips have been broken chunks of other trips.

RAW is effected by more than just block. It is effected by credit, DH, days avail, days used etc. Go look at the PWA. The formula is in there.

Also you will be credited the 5:15 per duty period if you have more credit using that method than what you credit is showing. Again, read the PWA. I do not have it on this computer, but you can do a word search in the pdf file and save yourself some time.
