Yes, NewK was in that super secret Navy Squadron
He can't talk about it much but after a Great White Shark TV Network named a series after him "NewK Week" the Navy was forced to declassify the program.
Nope, the 71st (last of the Eagle Squadrons) is gone now. I tried to get back for the big shuttering party but I got tied up with family stuff. Too bad, one of my old squadron commanders (and exDelta pilot) wrote a check for $1000 (which was matched by the 94th and 27th commanders from that era) and slapped it on the bar. I'm sure a good time was had by all.

$1000 bar tab huh? I did a charter once for The Coral Reefers, Buffets band, I think $1000 was about right for them. But one of the bottles was $500 so that kind of skews things. They drank probably a bottle of wine each and left the beer in the plane. We had at least one cooler of beer. Nice folks. Buffet was in his own Falcon 900. The boss gave me his tickets, he had a box at the... whatever you call the place where you have bands in downtown Atlanta... anyways, watched the first half then left to prep the plane.

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh I'd chip in a $500 bottle of something to hang with the Reefers!! What a cool charter. Buffet talks about his planes in a lot in "A Pirate Looks at 50"

Ok boys, back to serious stuff!!
I'm obsessing about my first "Delta" checkride this week. The good news is I have a fNWA APD. The real good new is I'm alone and so the D period sim shouldn't go till 11pm.
But, what is a "SFA"? (the notation after the guy doing seat support)
Is the Oral "really" one hour long? I need details, fell free to PM them
