Capn, I'm going at the end of this month (Jul) and I was notified in May with the pop up message. I think FTB is correct, if you're going to bid for Aug in PBS and it hasn't shown up yet you're probably off the hook for Aug. If they do schedule you, they'll have to drop trips or reserve days to do it, which isn't likely.

Do you know the deal with the training golden days? You can put in up to 5 days for each month you are eligible for training that they can't schedule you. I always put in the first 5 days of each month I'm on the hook because if I'm surprised with training, I want that time to study. I don't know what other guys do.

So they bypassed recall to stay at Compass until after the merger?

That says something.

If someone could remain a Captain at one airline, until making Captain at the other airline, while scoring a military retirement and making O6, that would be a perfecta trifecta. A Captain three times at the same time.

$20 to the first Compass guy who pulls that off.

Saw the stars for an O8 on a BMW on the parking lot. Have we one of those at Delta !?

#1,2,and 3 at Compass hold DL seniority numbers... it is my understanding that all furloghed NW pilots had the option to come to compass; however, by the time compass was up and running NW had begun to recall so only four came, one was terminated after a failed drug test. When they agreed to come to compass they were asked to stay for one year, after one year they were recalled at NW, but there class was one of the classes that got cancelled when oil spiked. So now all three will be in one of the first classes of recalls.

Wrong. They didnt choose to stay at Compass. They had to stay at Compass for 1 year and when NWA was hiring their class in which they should have returned got cancled. Why would someone choose to stay on 3rd year pay making $67 per hour when their seniority at DAL would be on 10 year 757/67 pay?

Will they be stuck in new hire bids or do they get to put in for the next AE that is bid? I'm assuming that since they flowed originally to Compass, they must live in a NWA base.
Compass Flow back seniority dates

1. 1 15 01
2. 5 28 01
3. 08 13 01

the flow stated that if a pilot was held back from moving back up to mainline that his pay would be the higher of the rates (compass pay vs nwa/dal pay). I'd have stayed at CPZ too if i was number 1,2,3 all while making the same money i'd be at nwa/dal. Doing so allowed them to enjoy the super seniority instead of slumming it on reserve back at mainline.

There is a grievance that was filed on this. I dont know the results of it but i dont think it went in their favor. They are still on Compass pay scale at 3rd year pay
