Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Just got bumped off the jump seat of an 88 comuting home for load on a 40 minute flight ATL_PNS. I thought that this was not supposed to happen. Didn't argue just got my bags and got off. When questioning the agent she did not want to discuss it at all. Did I miss something or is this correct???
If you were listed on the jumpseat on the flight, you should NOT have been removed for load.
If you were a walk-up, with no listing, then all bets are off.
If you were listed, I'd call the JS Chair ASAP.

Full flight a couple of days ago. Capt was perplexed as well but the agent wanted me off asap. I thought the policy was that jumpseater was always included in the final numbers.
I've seen it. It is a big connector between 2 and 4, 3 is gone. 4 gets two extensions one small one big. Customs is on the lower level of 4 and the connector. Thats about it. big jet parking is better kk and k are slightly revamped.
Yes I was listed. Not sure what is going on is there a bulliten about this???

There have been numerous bullitens and publications on the subject. One thing every pilot should have is the duty pilots number in his phone. One quick call can set things right. I would write the incident up and demand a follow through from the CPSC.
Will do thanks for the suggestion. Gotta nip this stuff in the bud. Hard enough getting around if you can't count on JS.
Absolutely. If you were listed and then bumped, not cool. Call the duty pilot shortly thereafter. Then follow up with the union and the CPSC. Unless there are circumstances that the crew was dealing with, you should have been a no-brainer.

You're right about handling change, and everybody is different. But most of the complaints and worries that I have and hear of are not that things are changing. When the merger was announced I had great hopes of Delta bringing state of the art change. That was my assumption as to how Delta operated. Most of us fNWA guys now see that assumption was wrong.
Resistance to change is human nature, but when change makes things better, even the most hard headed come around. But when change takes you demonstrably backward, and our new company's stats prove it, then the change is just sad.

While the merger is complete, I think the change is only just beginning. Not only has the final chapter yet to be written, but one could argue that the only dry ink is in the prologue and first Chapter. Ha! You and Buzz aren't the only ones who can whip up a good writer based analogy.
Over the years I have been disappointed again and again by our management team, and yet Like Charlie Brown giving Lucy another shot at that football, I continue to hope that our management team suddenly gets afflicted with a sudden case of competency. Call me the wild eyed optimist. Let me be clear here - Do I trust our management as a whole? No, trust must be earned, and they have yet to earn my trust. But I am not saying it will always be this way, and I hope that it is not.
Besides if management fixed everything all at once during the merger what would have to look forward to, much less argue about?

PS - We all know that ACL types on some kind of smart phone or PDA device. Spelling/grammar errors when using that type of a device are a given, so I think pointing them out does not really serve a constructive purpose.
What's up with DTW 7ER B? Three of us NY ER guys got DTW rotations tomorrow. I have a six hour sit at the Westin tomorrow. Anyone going to be around to watch the game with?
Those in favor of the motion that what happened to Keenster was not right, say "Aye". Those opposed keept it to yourselves, thereby the power invested in me from Denny Crane the motion is carried.
I have something to cheer everyone from Keen to Satch and gang who were undoubtedly disappointed with the world cup today.
Food. Italian food. You can't go wrong, actually you can. The best part about Italian food is learning to make it, on the Food Network. But there is a great show called Everyday Italian, you'll love it.
We watched it near 24/7 when my wife was home after the baby was born. We learned nothing. We just watched, and commented on her cleveage. There is a website dedicated to it because just about every show was like that above.
Cheers.
I should get an award for throwing out red meat in a den of wolves.
