We do have problems. Serious problems. When your diamond million milers are looking at other airlines, that's trouble. RA knows this and is deeply concerned. I just hope he listens to the right people for the fixes.

Real simple Carl, who is the VP of IT and where did She come from? Now tell me that she chose the software from DAL just to upset the 744 pilots.

It was not a N v S issue.

DBMS has your time card stuff on it, and the way it pulls this data makes it tricky to just plug and play scheduling software with SAP. It is about SAP and one you run it you never throw it out.

The SkyTeam airline alliance, whose members include Delta Air Lines Inc. and Air France-KLM, said it’s talking with about a dozen other carriers to join the group and may add two of them by year-end.

What are the chances we are Skyteam by Delta Air Lines by 2020?

One of the major problems with scheduling seems to be the wait times to get a hold of an actual scheduler. At the SEA base meeting it was explained that they finally figured out the problem and it had to do with the phone system. It wasn't doing what it was supposed to do as far as forwarding calls to the next scheduler if yours was busy on another line and was sending some calls into limbo where it didn't hang up and the schedulers didn't know there was anyone still on hold. They also discovered problems with phone lines/extensions that were no longer in use. There were unused lines that were dedicated to the L1011 and 727.

I don't remember the exact time frame they gave for a fix but I think it should be done within a week or two. Hopefully this will take care of the long waits and being dropped off out of the que and not knowing it.

Just like when you call it an 80, you get corrected to, "88.". Come on, bus, mini-bus, 80, guppy, 75, whale; nothing has a proper name.

It is an 80 series however. Don't call it a Super 80 like I did in ATL Ops, the room went quiet.
