4114,
May I ask what the point was of putting that up here?

The last newsletter was a few weeks ago. Fairly straight forward.

I was wondering why this thread had been relatively calm for a few days, until I realized the fight was over at the US Air Repeal thread where Delta pilots had taken over a 1/4 of the pages.

Well, they are basically telling them that an arbitrated award is final, and what the USAPA pilots are doing will have unintended consequences for all pilots.

This I agree with.

They can keep it over there. Arguing childishly back and forth belongs in that thread.

Interesting ALPA watch thing- quite a nice synopsis.

Between runaway 777s and engineless 767s, either AMR or Boeing is having a hard time but as we all know, it can happen to our team too:

NEW YORK -- Boeing Co. is drafting new guidelines for inspecting the structural integrity of its 767 jetliner after cracks were discovered in the engine pylons of at least two planes operated by American Airlines, The Wall Street Journal reported late Monday. The size of the cracks surprised Boeing officials and there is concern the problems could be more widespread, the newspaper said. Under new guidelines, the manufacturer will likely recommend stepped-up inspections. In one case, cracks in the jet's pylon were so bad that regulators said it could easily have lost an engine, the Journal said. Why the cracks are appearing isn't known. American parent AMR Corp. and the Federal Aviation Administration have inspected the bulk of the operator's 767 fleet and metallurgical tests were pending.

Or the comic section of the NYT, which is the same as their front page.

The chief executive officers of Delta, Air France and KLM met Monday with Air Line Pilots Association leaders from their airlines to sign a six-way Joint Venture Protocol. The protocol agreement recognizes that a cooperative and productive relationship is essential to the success of the Joint Venture Agreement.
