FWIW, it is block when you are under power for the intention of taking off, and under your own power. Same with violations.

Why would schedulers drop your trip, when they could have you deadhead one leg on your next trip? Good for you, I'm just questioning DL productivity

Here is how it is worded:

3. If, prior to the origination of a rotation, a pilot is projected to exceed the FAR 30-in-7
limitation, the Company, prior to report, will remove:
a. a rotation(s) from his line,
b. him from a portion of a rotation when he passes through his base,
c. him from a portion of a rotation, beginning with its first flight segment, and may
deadhead him to fly the balance of his rotation, or
d. him from a portion of a rotation beginning with its last flight segment and proceeding
toward the first flight segment to the extent necessary to achieve compliance,
provided:
1) the rotation does not pass through his base, and
2) reserve coverage is not sufficient to cover the first part of the rotation.
Note: Removal under
Section 23 K. 3. d. should be avoided when possible,
especially when it would result in deadheading the pilot home on the flight

segment(s) he would otherwise have flown.

All I remember about the trip they removed was that it was a two day trip. When it disappeared off my sked, I had to call them to find out why. I believe afterwards, there was a sked note saying "Trip dropped due to 30 in 7." I think the reason they dropped it was because I actually went over 30 in 7 on the last flight, which was scheduled to be just slightly under. If it were a four day trip, they may have done it differently.

Default 22 D.3?

Can't find the answer. What is the difference between the projected staffing list for December 2010 and the 22.D3 report?

Ie for ATLM88B, the projected category list shows 489 pilots, while the 22D3 report shows 524?

What is the 35 pilot difference? Could these be newhire spots, or will they be filled in the next bid?

Waves: Tower, Delta ###...

Tower: Go ahead?

Waves: Ah, yes, we had a passenger stand up and run to the bathroom while we were taxing in, do you mind if I stop here for a minute or so?

Tower: Thats fine.

Waves: THANKS

Waves (to FO): Oh look at that, we're 2 minutes late.

Leine, the 22D2 is min staffing based on the projected block and the 22D3 is the planned staffing. If you see mo bodies in a seat it is because that is the level they want/need. I deduce that those are vacant!

Never trust those 73 FOs Waves further than you can throw a microwave or further than you would start to bring up your hand for a high five with a friend walking the other way on a public street.

Wait a minute, I take that back, its the lazy 88 FO's on APCF you can't trust.

If you don't question what the heck is going on with our schedulers over the last three months, you haven't been working. I am looking back at my flight instructor days in the early 90's and I had more productive schedules...
