Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
If you go to Guadalajara, make sure to take a $3 cab ride over to Santo Coyote restaurant. It is my favorite restaurant in our entire system, including Rome or Paris. Make sure you go just as it's getting dark. Also, either before or after you eat, take a tour of the restaurant. I went there three times before I even knew they had an indoor live band.
I put it in my IPhone for places to go sometime. I figured out my problem, I miss spelled Guatemala and hit Guadalajara as the correct spelling in spell check. Opps, the ER don't go there Sorry for all the confusion........but I do want to go down and see some of those places.
There is also an interesting 767 trip out of SLC in open time I'm thinking about, But, the report times aint purdy out east. I'm really done for the month after an Asia trip, so if I'm gonna be a *****, I want to take it easy on myself

FCR sent.........gotta love how we are reinventing the wheel out there. The agents used to meet you with a brick in KIX or NGO when you arrived off the DH in.
I haven't been here in awhile, and haven't taken the time to read back any, but I just have a couple of items. You guys probably already know this, but DAL just raised the FA's lines again to 90 hours. My commuting wife isn’t very happy about it, but I guess that's better than the alternative.
Secondly, an LAX ER Captain buddy of mine just flew with his first Northern FO. He said he was a pleasure to fly with, which is no surprise. What WAS a surprise was that the FO said that only the pilots with 20 years or more got to keep their frozen pensions. Everyone else lost them just like all of us Southerners. Somehow I missed that little tidbit somewhere along the line. I’m not trying to dredge up anything, I just wasn’t aware of that. If this is true, it sounds like the 20 year boys pulled up the ladder. I read every word of the SLI transcripts and I don’t remember seeing that anywhere. I would like to know if this is true. Would anyone care to elaborate?

20 years is too high. I don't remember where the cut off is, but mine is frozen at 10.
10/25s of 60% of a 757 FO.....I'm within spitting distance of the PBGC min

As I understand it, I've got the pension frozen where it is. Now, that's not to say they can't throw their hands up someday and say, "sorry we tried but," and I'm in the PBGC soup with ya.
As I recall, mine is around there somewhere. $2100ish sticks in my mind somewhere, but my wife will tell you exactly how good my memory is........
It's a crime what happened. Don't get me started, but you guys took it worse in this regard than we did for sure. Lets just hope the DC makes some $$, at least maybe a small dent.

PS This is why your DC is, and should be, higher than ours. Our real senior guys (over 25 years) are whole as I understand it.

Application Review
Anyone heard if Mr. Repp and crew have started looking at applications yet?
Found an old number and got the answer.

Although it did not go to the PBGC like the South pensions did, after a cutoff point of somewhere between 17-20 years of longevity, the rest of us are at or below the PBGC limits. Mine was frozen at 10 years minus furlough time. I will get $425.00 a month. Not exactly the windfall that some seem to think that we have...

Looks like the Spirit guys are going back to work. Funny how a little five day strike can change things, huh? Our 2012 negotiations are sure going to be interesting, especially with our new pilot group mix. All for now. I'm playing Mr. Mom today so must take my daughter to swim practice.

We can all thank the SWA, JetBlues and AirTran etc for this. At the time the only guys making money off real cheep tickets were the guys with no pension obligations. So, guess where our band of thieves wanted to go...........
