Depends. If you have access to icrew, i'd see what they'd tag you for. 99% it's just a courtesy call to let you know of a 12 noon showtime the next day that they probably have to call you at 0001 to wake you up. If you live in base and feel lucky to answer a proffer, answer them. It may work out better for you.

If you do go make sure you print out the checkout tips for GUA on the SAQ page. It will be a big help.

Thanks Denny..........I probably won't get it anyway, there is good reserve coverage that day and out of base GS is so far down the priority list.

9 days stuck somewhere for a volcano on a GS, now that's a dream come too.........in Amsterdam!!

As always, thanks for all your help.

Uh, do I get a pass for following you to the wrong city despite thinking of the same volcano and sink hole ridden location in Guatemala?

Like I said it's been two years and it was back when coke was a coke, a screw was a screw and the ER was only international. And back then I remember the Captain saying as we were eating dinner that he thought this was a real gentlemans trip compared to Europe.

That could also been because out of NYC the trip was a day trip for the FAs so it was just the pilots and a nice hotel.

I am painfully aware of the situation.... 2 out of the last 3 months MSP 320B has been last to go. Can't complain too much if it is in prior to the contract deadline.

I was told there is a problem with scheduling trying to speak French with a Norwegian accent. Or it could be that they DALPA guys are too busy laughing at how I screwed up my bid AGAIN to push the send button.

By the way to the person who gave the tip about picking up a carry in trip after the "snapshot" of schedules was taken on the 12.... they closed that loophole.

Just to add to this, which he is 100% correct on...:
Last X day before resv coverage begins, you check your schedule after 1500. If you don't have anything on it you will most likely be a long call resv and therefore most answer or "in a reasonable amount of time" return the call starting at 0000. If there is a short call assignment you most answer call or return call in a reasonable amount of time, if they call within your short call window.

It varies by fleet I think - numbers are in the bid package.

Also, there is a Guadalajara on there that would fit my time frame......is that worth doing, sorta looks painful with the redeye down from LAX.

If you go to Guadalajara, make sure to take a $3 cab ride over to Santo Coyote restaurant. It is my favorite restaurant in our entire system, including Rome or Paris. Make sure you go just as it's getting dark. Also, either before or after you eat, take a tour of the restaurant. I went there three times before I even knew they had an indoor live band.
