I liked Guadalajara but its been almost two years since I did them and it was from ATL and not the redeye stuff from LAX.

I like the GDL layover Ferd if its 24 hours or so. Gives you time to recover from the red eye and still have some fun. There's some really good eatin'. If you go, take the Tequila Train tour. Its a blast.

OK, quick question. Why did I get two phone calls this weekend for an IA, when I wasn't legal for either? Just odd when they had called before I went to sleep with both trips for greenslips until we realized I was illegal for either.

I'm pulling this out of my posterior but its probably a simple system that goes through the group looking for all those currently not working. Also, you may not be legal but maybe if you're willing to do it then they can figure out how to make it legal, i.e. drop the backside of the trip or something. They will rob from tomorrow to pay for today.

Delta has 3 phone numbers for me, fwiw, all 3 ring simutaneously during IA calls. Its crazy when that happens , at 2am.

I think they leave it up to you as to whether or not you are legal, i.e., have you had the necessary rest and haven't been drinking? You're okay. If not, you're not. That's the way I've always interpreted it when my phone rings at 0300. I could be wrong and probably am.

uh, ok, pilot shortage could become a pilot glut.

Embraer reveals vision for single-pilot airliners

Imagine the interview: "are you an introvert, if so, great." And I am. I would be happy. Then I could start throwing around the term, you're not a real pilot unless you've done some single pilot Part 121.

Ah the irony that they put this out on a day where a pilot got sick and an FA came up to help assist the other guy.
