Hey there were a few in our corner. For the record one strike for me but had 20 yrs with NW. But just wanted to point out safety is not a pilot only thing.

You are so right about that and if you were a NWA mech for 20 years I want to say thanks for the graeat mx you guys gave us and sorry how the strike went down. Want to say I never really had a complaint with NWA mx up until the strike. Hope things are going well for you now.

I think Plane, Path, Performance, People, Popsicle Sticks ought to be replaced. Take a quick gander at what makes our airline: ACS, Corporate, Corporate Safety Security and Compliance, Delta Cargo, Finance, Flight Operations, Global Sales & Distribution, HR, IFS, IT, Marketing, Network Planning and Revenue Management, OCC, Reservation Sales, Supply Chain Management, Techops.

Alright, divide that out into a more practical single assembly line or channel that makes a little more sense and seems like it has a goal, a clarified "win" if you will:
Marketing: Network Planning & Rev Mngmt, Res Sales, Delta Cargo, Global Sales & Dist [goal: do the right thing for the right people]

Corporate: Finance, Supply Chain Management, HR, Corporate, IT [goal: facilitate the best damn airline ever, such that keenster, buzz and carl are singing kumbya- and mean it, or, more seriously: people matter, 100% of the time]

Training: Training, Safety Sec & Compliance [goal: cutting useless acronyms by 7/8ths by 2020]

Dispatch: OCC, Tech Ops, ACS [goal: D-0, A-0, 100% of the time]

Flight Ops: Flight Ops, Pilots, IFS [goal: 0 accidents, 0 incidents, 0 issues, 100% of the time]

Ya, I agree. I've only been at Delta two years and yes there are some things we can do better, but let the negative attitude go! Drink a beer or two or three before posting on here.
