The thing that's going to make this real interesting is they just effectively announced they had 78 too many captains. If I'm reading this correctly.

Somehow I think this posting is gonna look like appetizer when SOC completes and the real fun begins I think we can all start chippin in to buy trailers in each base for the commuters.

Sorry about that. I made the changes. Back to bouncing and thinking about what to do next. Can't figure out how I missed 57 surpluses on the 767!?!... I must be going through denial. Next I think is anger, than hysteria, then acceptance and then violence, then I'm beaten and then submission.

Yep, It is what it is, and at least there are enough openings for the surplus positions.
I just want to avoid a short course on the 88. I have heard that is not a lot of fun.

Seriously though, are they trying to get all 767 categories to become ER? And not just one day but like, asap, pre SOC? I could see how they'd love to make SLC an ER category as well which combined with LAX going to ER would help cover all of the Hawaii/Asia 767 flying without opening a SEA base.
I mean from a company standpoint I could see how this is just one of those "inefficiencies" they'd want to iron out pre SOC. It hurts our staffing levels, but, thats not their concern.

The company wants that. The bog plan is to do LAX and SLC first. Then in about three years transition ATL. There are a few road blocks, but IMHO the company gets what the company wants, one way or another.
