Thanks! I had no idea! I'll call the CPSC ASAP!

I read that memo/bulletin too when I signed in on my last trip...........it's a crock of ****! None of the planes I flew on the entire rotation had ship sets installed. Take your flight kit. (Except for sim training)

The shipsets mentioned in the memo are the ones for offline airports and airports that aren't in your jepps, the same ones that have been there for over a year. The memo says that the 757's that do interport flying don't have them. It was a confusing memo, but read the FOM page that they mention and it will be more clear.

One more step toward starting the hiring process - I won't say his name because I don't know if it's public info, but people who can get on DeltaNet can see who it is - he is very experienced. It looks like he's definitely not some paper-pusher who in it for brownie points or something.
He is a good guy. Former 73N Fleet Captain about the time you got hired.

Thanks Alfa. I guess if I'd have looked in the FOM at the reference I'd have seen that. But that bulletin was VERY misleading. We've had those bricks in the aircraft for how long now? And they are sending a memo now? I know it's probably for the Narita exception but it was extremely poorly written. (Just like my last sentence!)

I just got released from short call around noon today and went home, decided to call scheduling before commuting home and they said nothing for me tomorrow. OK, so I commute 1000+ miles home and doesn't even get my shirt off before they call me in for a 5AM SC tomorrow. I just put a clean shirt on and went back up for my 1000+ miles commute. Since I have overheard other guys talking really bad about scheduling lately (personally this is the first time I have experienced this kind of behavior), I just thought I post to see if several have had similar experiences. I know they have new hires in scheduling, but am just hoping that this won't continue. a line on the NYC M88 sounded really good all of a sudden.

I'm beta testing the new online tool for deviation from deadhead tomorrow. I'll let you know how it works in a day or two.

If 2A is empty, you can use the maintenance override and get almost flat on the 757-200ER. It's at the back of the right armrest.

DON'T try this with someone sitting in 2A. Support the seatback when you hit the override. The seat back drops in an instant when you hit the release.

Going to NRT on Sunday. Just to be clear, I take my western hemisphere stuff as usual and pick up an Asia brick in NRT..........just like we always do, right?
