I did say MAY, I don't know. Why don't I know, because I do not get any info from my union. That is my biggest concern is that we get so little information that we have to resort to web boards to be "informed"

Look at the 20% raise for scope relief rumor. I believe that rumor gained so much traction because of the way our union communicates to the masses. We are kept in the dark on a lot of stuff until after it happens. So it is easy for rumors to gain traction.

You are 100% correct I should contact my reps about this. I will shoot them an email off as soon as I finish this reply.

Don't look at the AE menu for who is bidding into the bus senior to you. I am 60% on the list and it shows 120+ senior to me bidding on to it. May be time to go to the 88 and be in the top 20% or bottom of 7ER.

All those crews were subject to media scrutiny, then discipline. Two of the three crews were terminated. The updates you received were basically on the status of the grievance as part of an MEC report. There were no additional details beyond those initially provided.

Here's a serious question for you, Caddis. Do you believe that keeping a crew that has made a mistake in management's, the FAA/DOT or the public eye will enhance their long term job security? That same management has already suspended them, the FAA/DOT revoked their licenses, and the media has hung them. I submit that we can do a much greater service to them by being quiet and patient.

Oh, and those two NWA crews that were terminated...they got their jobs back with very limited fanfare. Your "right to know" doesn't trump their right to good representation or allow damage to their job security.

That rumor cracks me up. Let me get this straight - they are going to raise the pay on 12,000 + pilots by 20% just so they can get maybe few hundred to a thousand pilots to fly for 10-15% less?

The sad part is that I heard a guy say that he would take that deal in a heartbeat.

I do not want any information that may hurt their case. So I will offer you this olive branch and say that in some cases limited info is better.

Now how about you concede that the MEC does not do as well as they could with communication to the masses on other issues? I am going to go for a simply one and use MEC meetings.

At the former NWA we would receive a nightly emailed synopsis of the days events. Why do we not get that from DALPA? In all honesty it should not take more then 30 minutes to recap the events in a short email to the members. A simply chronological recap would suffice followed by more details after the meeting adjourns emailed out to the members.

Finally got around to reading the Haneda tentative slot award document.

Synopsis was that 747 probably helped our case a LOT in LAX and maybe some in DTW. Take that AMR...

Now it sounds like the A319 is drumming up some business in Europe.

Maybe its good to have a fleet more diverse than our competitors.

Wonder what would have happened if we had asked for JFK-HND with a 747 instead of SEA-HND.
