It sure is nice to volley that quote back over the net.

It sure is nice that pilots can now fly while taking Prozac...I think Bar needs it!

The problem is that the migration is so far one way. Pilots are being moved to the former NWA bases as former DAL equipment picks up flights there and to support the far east flying without deadheads. The SEA 7ER base was rumored long before the merger so it may have happened regardless. I listened to Grinstein point out that the 7ER with winglets could reach every key market in Asia at a very low cost point well before the merger.

The reverse however so far is not happening. Lots of NWA metal is moving to NYC and ATL to support the quality DALS flying (TIC) however the pilot jobs are not moving with the metal. It was rumored that a lack of 330 training capacity was the reason however a second sim has been purchased. Latest rumor is for a the 330 shift to Atlanta to come in the fall along with a 747 base in NYC. Time will tell.

This sums up the root of frustration on the southside in regards to the shift of flying. Everyone is flying through ATL, but they aren't opening up new slots. Perhaps in August...

Great to see a positive bid with so many widebody slots. They didn't let me press the button to send out the bid. Can't a brotha get some love?

There is no FNWA. There is no FDAL. There is only Delta Air Lines.

You might want to rethink that, Satchip. I'm on the NYC 73, and let me tell you: the redeyes are brutal without a relief pilot, the customers are incredibly obnoxious, the cat wranglers are extra wrinkly, and all the captains want to know if you like gladiator movies.

Stay away. Stay far away.

Your pal,
FC, who is junior to you.
