Nice red shirt there Uncle Ferd... care to tell us your stories?
I thought Ferd was the dude with the guitar and the streaming long and unwashed hair. Lookin good! I'm guessing you pack all that hair up in that snazzy cap with a widget on it?

Day 1 of 73N training done- very impressed with the program. I'm in class by myself!

Also, I found out that I can't blame WN for us not having an EICAS on the 73N. We didn't buy the option! Oh, Delta...

Oh, and converted my 76 domestic jepps to the 73N jepps. I've never seen this many Jepps jammed into 2 binders. This airplane goes everywhere this side of the Atlantic it seems like.

Denny,

Meant to ask you this earlier but the thread moves too fast:

You said if its on your time card, it gets paid.

Does that mean that you can actually bank 5 hours of sick pay if you are negative bank?

Well I have 4 binders now for the ER. Is is it a net reduction, or am I just a terrible packer?

It'll be a reduction for the ER guys.. i still have AM/A-L and M-Z in each respective binder... they are pretty much busting at the seams though.

Nosmo,

I'm not a union contract guy so take my "knowledge" for what it is worth........

That being said, here is a part of the contract from the Full Service Bank section:

In each bid period:
a. a pilot may deposit into his bank account up to 20 hours of credit that is accumulated in excess of 80 hours in such bid period.
b. the first five hours of credit a pilot accumulates in excess of 80 hours will be automatically applied against a negative bank balance. Such repayment does not constitute a deposit.
c. a deposit will be applied against a negative bank balance.

My opinion only, once the hours are on your timecard, I don't think it matters where they came from, that's what you are going to get paid for the month. If you were sick, on vacation or whatever the hours are on your timecard and the above quote would apply. Say your bank is -10 and your timecard says 90 hours for the month, 20 of which you were sick, then 5 hours will be automatically applied to negative bank and, if you wanted to, you could then make a bank depost of another 5 and get to a zero bank balance.

Again, the above is just my opinion. If you want, put in the bank request to do whatever you want and then go back and look at your timecard. You should have your answer right away. If you want to take the bank request back out you can.

Denny

I really like the way Delta does the bank, especially a positive bank.
