Any seat on that thing is a great job though.
Hey Ferd, explain to New how the island won't let him leave the DC9 family. He wants to leave. But the DC9 family is not done with him yet.

Go on. Explain it.

Daughter protection devices

YouTube - AA-12 Shotgun On Future Weapons

YouTube - Beretta Shotgun Shooting Exhibition - Travis Mears

Either of these choices would scare the most red-blooded slackers straight.

If you raise the cap and leave the target the same, the cost will be higher. Again, that is a decision the MEC will have to make. Getting paid more, makes the hassles of reserve go down smoother.

Alright, lets say you can't start over for whatever reason. Could we raise the cap to 75, keep the target at 60 and give commuters the option to give up credit inexchange for a more favorable commute when they want it?

Say, you can drop the first turn but you lose the pay or you lose the pay necessary to find a replacement? Or you have 6 days on reserve and instead of requesting PM SC on day 1 you request that no trip start prior to 1200 (or end by 1400 on the last day) and in exchange you give up 1 hour of credit for the whole month per request.

But make it their choice and therein mitigate somewhat the costs for getting the company to sign off on it.

The randomness of the system can be brought under control.
Knowledge = Fairness. When we understand how they get there (or will get there) then we know thats just a part of the deal. Like RAW scores. Like the big screens with all of the non-revs listed for a flight, if you don't get on at least now you know it wasn't just because the gate agent was screwing you over.

What we have is something that is a growing trend but is still fairly rare at this point.

It definitely sucks to lose a pension when you're halfway through your career. But, with the BrokerageLink and the boost I got from the note and claim, I (at age 50) am on track to have pretty much what I would have had with the pension. But, in this case, the money is mine and cannot be taken away through bankruptcy like the pension was! Now if we could just get some decent pay restoration (and therefore get those contributions amounts higher into the plans), then many of us (even the senior guys) could come out better than we would have had with the pension.

Of course, some will argue that the returns necessary to achieve success with our plans is not guaranteed. Well, a pension certainly isn't guaranteed either.... as we have all found out the hard way. And, like Pineapple said, it's a real no-brainer for the new guys. I just wish we had had this setup from the beginning for us older guys!

Is Snider making you all your money??? I'm still trying to convince myself that it is a good thing.

If there is a DC-9 island that I am stranded on that is keeping me from the shores of the -400, it is Australia and I am in the middle of it.

You won't be seeing me in the left seat of that thing anytime soon.

KW was not forced to resign. After making his very public resignation, he was asked to reconsider and see these grievances through. Not sure if he will.

Yeah - I would much rather see 186 posts about the laundry wars.
