Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
ACL, I hope it's good.
NewK;
I beleive most if not all of it is existing flying. (TLV etc)

So today or monday?
If you're delivering bad news then you do it on Friday, if its good you do it on Monday. Now, good news to us is bad news to SWA and although the "airline tickets should be free as a right" Clark Howards of the world.
Hmmm.
---
Also can I float this idea. GS pay on reserve is straight pay, right? I wish there was an option to get double pay if we forgo the payback day. I'd fly this weekend with the TSRAs headed this way but sometimes the GS's coupled with effectively how much you could fly all month just doesn't make it worthwhile.

FtB;
It is the government, they do not care if it is bad news or good news, they just release it and go home. They have decided, and will continue to count their days to retirement.

Lifers in government are immune to reality, the White House(s) still like the Friday Night News Dump.
We'll see where the DOT sits. See if this is like with the SCOTUS dumps all their rullings at once.
Roommates in college had a sign they stole that said NO DUMPING BETWEEN 1PM - 5PM and placed it in a bathroom.
[Picture that here.]

Yep, and one way or another a weekend would be great to let DAL or LUV cool off!
More officials back Delta's Haneda bid

Support is continuing to build for Delta’s bid to expand its Asian network to include Tokyo-Haneda Airport.
On Thursday, Delta submitted 120 letters of support to the U.S. Department of Transportation from federal, state and local elected officials, airport directors, business leaders, travel agencies and customers who endorse Delta’s bid.
Those backing Delta’s application for Haneda service include U.S. Rep. James Oberstar, D-Minn., the chairman of the U.S. House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure; U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif.; Hawaii Gov. Linda Lingle; and directors of airports in Memphis, Indianapolis, Pittsburgh, Salt Lake City and elsewhere.
Also weighing in were officials with General Motors, Dow Chemical, Corning, Carl Zeiss Inc., Lear Corp. and other corporations.
“This new service would create jobs and be a great boon for our residents and businesses during these troubled times,” Gov. Lingle wrote in her letter to Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood.
The letters submitted this week are in addition to nearly 12,000 letters signed by Delta employees worldwide, as well as support from elected officials and community leaders in Michigan, Washington state and elsewhere.
The DOT is expected to make its decision on the slots within a few months. Haneda is being opened to transpacific flights for the first time since 1978 under a new open skies accord between the U.S. and Japan. The airport, one of the busiest in the world, was limited to domestic service after Narita Airport was completed.
Haneda is a preferred airport for business travelers flying to and from Tokyo, because of its location near the city’s central business district. Japan Airlines and All Nippon Airways account for more than 80% of the airport’s traffic.
Under the open skies agreement, four takeoff and landing slots at Haneda will be awarded to U.S. carriers. Delta has applied for service between Haneda and Seattle, Detroit, Los Angeles and Honolulu.
American, United, Continental and Hawaiian Airlines also have applied for Haneda slots.
