Not true. AMR could buy the West or East op and then the remainder could die on the vine. I have often suspect that this was in play since they are burning the furniture in the East Coast.

As to AMEX, I don't know why...
Amex want to make sure that they have a seat at the table wrt our future. The money they make on our skymiles program and the AMEX skymiles card is amazing.

As for Boeing, yep, and if you want more weight, etc you will pay for every pound. They invented a la cart.

Go check out the Central Region News out of CVG's CPO.

Bad pilots! Do not play Reserve Roulette. Some good tidbits as well.

Anybody sell their stock at $14.90? i.e. $2 ago as it's at $12.90 now? Its okay, I'm a long haul investor.

For what it is worth, Delta does have a bid out for the connecting bridge from Terminal 3 to Terminal 4 at JFK. I was at an Easter party where the host told me they were presenting thier bid to Delta on the following Tuesday. He was under the impression Delta had narrowed it down to 2-3 bids. Not sure if he was presenting to just Delta or to the Port Authority as well.

My guess is that Delta wants to show just enough profit to satisfy investors, but not so much they have to share with labor right away. We'll be "profitable" as soon as we sign contracts while we're "not profitable".
1. Profit sharing is based on pre-tax income.
2. There is a "cost" with having cash on hand when you're $16.4 billion in debt. Delta is dealing with that cost. It will put you in a far better place when you're negotiating your next contract if Delta has $10 billion in long term debt. The aggregate savings is over $500 million per year. That's "free" money to buy airplanes, pay employees or attack your competition.

I like the way you think. I did just that. I normally do not trade DAL, but I wiil be buying a chunk (watching it now) . I still see 18 by the end of the year. Depending on the resistance, and a few other factors I may opt to keep my shares they gave. (Yes, I did not sell them. I keep the faith )

The stock was just upgraded and as they have stated. I am of the same opinion.

As you state, DYODD.
