It works pretty well unless all your matching/contributions are put into company stock (preferred or otherwise) which you cannot sell and then your company goes............well we all know the drill.

Agreed. I know many that no matter what their stuff was doing on the DC and DAL side of the house always maxed out their 401K. Many of them are senior WB A's right now relishing the fact that they have a retirement to count on.

Correct. It has to do with the fact that you are there to deal with sickouts, not give guys who want off a trip pickup. That is why it is designed that way. That trip is assigned to a line holder and unless the PD/APD it, sick out of it, they will need to fly it if another line holder does not pick it up.

With the trend of ER pilots (especially in the hubs) having to fly domestic time I bet it pushes the 330 and 765 even that much more senior.
