Freaking please dude, even the fDAL Captain I flew with said the list was freakin BS past 2000 hires... Buzz, I guess I am not happy with the median age (52) of my airline dropping by about 7 years and realizing zero gain from it. Did you work in Centerport before Delta?
Perhaps you'd prefer a job at Usair, or maybe UAL? Maybe you'd like to be like the NWA pilots that left in 2007 for UPS & will now be furloughed? Or perhaps you'd be better at ATA, or TWA?

Whine all you want, but we could have it a lot worse.

It looks to be very accurate......

For me it is flat and then about 2022 or so I go from a mid level FO to a senior ca in five years, just crazy.....

acl,

Just move the retirement age down to 60 and dream/hope everyone retires at 60. I think someone posted that they are actually going at 62.5. If that's the case, it looks like it's about 4-5 years before the earth shattering, "I can move up to the next bigger airplane," movement begins.

Yeah, that's about the same I'm seeing. Unfortunately I'll be 57-58 years old before the ramp up gets going.

Of course it's pretty damn silly to even try to predict what's going to happen between now and then.

62.5 is the realistic avg age. The wheres waldo part shows everyones age thats retired and a good majority of them are 60. With that said for every good fellow going out at 60 you'll likely have a "fly till i die" type stay to the last possible second.

We're currently at 2.5 years since the change so we should continue to see a steady number of retirements from this point forward. We'll see

60 was a much better deal for all. When we had pensions, of course.

I agree. As the my favorite baseball announcer would put it,.....

"The SLI is OVAAAA!!!"

Let's move on.

Dang. I forgot about those guys who left for UPS? One was a MEM rep. They are about to get furloughed?
