Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Delta has perfected a screening process that picks applicants that can generally do just that. I could add to this, but we all know since we all sit next to each other.
All true. We've got guys here that were bag boys for ex-presidents that are great authors of kiss and tell books!

Mon Apr 12, 2010 3:33pm EDT
PARIS, April 12 (Reuters) - Shanghai-based China Eastern Airlines (600115.SS)(0670.HK) is set to join the SkyTeam global airline alliance, La Tribune newspaper reported in a preview of its Tuesday edition.
The move is expected to be announced at the end of the week, the newspaper said.
SkyTeam includes Air France-KLM (AIRF.PA) and Delta Air Lines (DAL.N), as well as China Southern Airlines (1055.HK)(600029.SS).
China Eastern, the only one of the country's top three carriers without a global affiliation, had said earlier this year it was in talks with SkyTeam, as well as rival groupings Oneworld and Star Alliance.
SkyTeam was not immediately reachable for comment. (Writing by James Regan; Editing by Tim Dobbyn)

I believe you, but who cares? Now, when you say "many" and specifically mention senior Whale FOs - it gets very ambiguous and hard to prove one way or another, but like I said who cares?
Speaking of experience - at what point does senility overcome the value of experience?
And finally, less than 3 years until the first Age 65 discrimination lawsuit!

Scoop,
I don't think the quality of the contract had much to do with why most North guys voted for it. As I look back to how things were when we voted for this contract, I remember there was a lot of distrust harbored on both sides. Back then it was more about North vs. South rather than Delta Pilots vs. DAL, and getting the best contract for our group. I bet if you ask, most North guys would tell you that we felt if we didn't vote for the deal, we would have somehow gotten screwed. Ie. Fragmented, stapled, sold down the river, made to wear hats, etc.

So thats 0400, 0900, 1500 Specific Time. Right?
Not negative. Big Picture, JAL is going to leave a hole in the Pacific, and this China Eastern deal with Skyteam will allow it to be like a toe leaving a pond. No one will notice as we will pick a lot of the loss. ANA is chomping at the bit too, but with China Eastern joining forces with us, we will be able to compete and do it effectively.
I will let 80 give his dump later.
I will let 80 give his dump later.
So if we get this we will have Skyteam partners in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. This would also bring ALOT of cargo operations into Skyteam. The key here is making sure this will benefit Delta pilots not just Delta executives. Also, this is just them joining the alliance, not a JV which may or may not provide better opportunities for growth for Delta pilots. Just them joining the alliance doesn't really do much does it?
