Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
United's pilots said Thursday they were vehemently opposed to a merger, while US Airways' pilots said they were open to a merger and wanted to be part of the discussions. Rueters
Did I hit that on the nail head or what? Again, I think the USAirway guys view this as another chance to get DOH. Good luck with that.

PS My next door neighbor is a UA 777 CA. He's suicidal and is dying for some sort of merger. Not sure he counted on US Air though.
I heard it from a so-so source:
2 dozen or more Md90s to be delivered to DAL from Saudia..
Just a rumor...Lets hope its true..

Right now the BOD authorized the purchase of 65 airframes.
We have 16 MD90 so that brings the fleet up to 81 MD90s.
MD made 110 MD90s so the missing planes are the 29 at Saudi Arabian.
Heres why they are different:
MD11 style overhead panel:
Flat screens instead of round gauges:
Note the MD11 style flap selector lack of TRP, hydraulic pump switches on the overhead...
OTOH if the Saudi MD90 rumor turns out to be true it would be great news as it might indicate a cockpit retrofit for the MD90 fleet to enable RNP....
Cheers

Just to stir the pot. Not just a retro fit but also a bunch of fleet commonality with the MD-95 err 717!
I'll believe it when I see it

I hope that is the plan..

FWIW, most of the non glass fleet will need to be retrofitted on some level for the NextGen stuff.
They have been working on a retro fit for the 767/757 fleet for some time. Of course it needs a two year ROI
