I am widebody DAL FO. So how exactly did I make out on this? Is there some fence in there that I don't know about or something? Or is it like I think it is and I will be out of my DAL widebody at the next displacement?

I know the SLI talks about seperating into widebody and narrowbody A and B positions. I am looking at myself and the bottom 10% of the list and am trying to pick through some of the numbers but as an ER FO I moved up right at 1%, friends on the 88 above and below (still in the bottom 10%) moved by less than 1/2 of 1%. Seeing if this is the trend elsewhere down here at the bottom.

Also trying to look at NWA numbers but all I have is that DAL proposed list from a few months ago so the current seniority numbers are not accurate.

After reading the entire opinion, I must say that it is very well thought out. I think we were all lucky to have such a thoughtful group of arbitrators craft our list.

Regardless of what any of us wanted, we should all agree that every one of us was far too close to this emotionally to ever know what was fair and equitable. I always promised myself that whatever these folks decided, it would be fair and equitable in my mind and attitude going forward. Here's to everyone else agreeing.

I look forward to flying with my new Delta brothers ASAP.

Keep in mind that while there are no fences for the narrow-body and most wide boy's we cannot "cross-bid" into each others planes until we are under a SOC. That would "more than likely" take upwards of 12-18 months to organize - I think your seat will be fine for a little while.

As well did you notice Item 9 on the award? That effectively "protects" each side from getting furloughed due to attritition's in the DC-9's and/or MD88 fleets. If they park DC-9's then only NWA pilots go and vice/versa if it's MD88's. That a pretty powerful clause!

FWIW, I'm still within 1% of where I was from what I can approximate!

I moved up 0.56%. And am less than 10 numbers behind the magical TK. I like being close to him considering what has to happen if he gets furloughed!

And by the way... I truly am looking forward to flying with my NWA brothers.

They seem to have considered the retirements of NWA and the relative position of DAL... and combined them. There may be a few that are ticked...but I don't think it is going to be the standard "it's not a successful merger unless everyone is ticked" outcome either.

I didn't find myself going "IM ****ED" nor overjoyful with the outcome of where I am... just "huh.....neat."

Agreed and I look forward to seeing you fly your 747 out of ATL, just neat to see something so different.

As to the SLI, it's informative for sure and really kind of simple, they could've made it hellacious legaleeze but overall its very clear. Their format is almost like NWA said, DAL said, NWA is right here but we don't agree here, DAL is right here but we don't agree here so this is what we decided... next subject.

When you read it, you kind of agree that they were trying hard to do as they said their goals were:

a. Preserve jobs.
b. Avoid windfalls to either group at the expense of the other.
c. Maintain or improve pre-merger pay and standard of living.
d. Maintain or improve pre-merger pilot status.
e. Minimize detrimental changes to career expectations.
