I heard that it was going to all Comair CRJ-900's, and because of past history they were going to deny all DAL pilots jumpseats....
It's a safety issue for them

I got to fly an N Model once. Great airplane, but like a lot of aircraft, they did have some growing pains.

Boeing capital lists 8 744s available for purchase or lease. 4 of them built in 2001 with less than 40,000 hours. All becoming available in 2010. The other 4 are 1992-1993 models available immediately with 3 of them in the 50,000 hour range and 1 in the 70,000 hour range.
They also list 744SFs, whats an SF?

Maybe it was Bob Shelton he was talking with.
Wasn't it about this time that management decided they wanted a new MEC Chairman so they got the state of Georgia to hit Shelton with tax fraud charges?

When Harry was traveling, he loved to come down early to the cockpit to chat with us. He always looked up the pilot's names before he came down and then addressed us by our names. A neat little trick. One time he was headed down the jet way and one of our FA's stopped him and said,"Sir, may I see some ID?" His response was, "Miss do you know who I am?" She quickly responded, "NO, I know who you look like. Now lets see some ID." True story.
I believe Harry was the one who coined the infamous phrase, "This acquisition [Pan Am] is the most highly researched acquisition in airline history." He did get canned for not playing ball, but he also took the money and ran. He was not well liked by the pilot group.

In ATL right now there are clouds of pollen roaming around like sand storms in the desert. Its rather painful for those of us not born and raised in dixie.
Its interesting how they build SC's, it must be scheduler dependent. Today, the PM SC was 0930-2130 and just about everyone got SC and a lot of doubling of SC. Some days its just 1 pilot per slot. Hopefully they won't need SC folks later tonight, they won't have any.
