Good idea.

This is one that needs to be forwarded, Xeroxed, even Guthenberged. Use crayons if you have to, but pass it along, and keep a copy. Because one should not forget. One should not forget that, when they had the chance to take a metaphorical shot to our collective heads with the lawsuits, they pulled the trigger with no hesitation whatsoever.

And when we were down and bleeding (fruloughing), and they weren't, they gave us a good kick. Just to be sure.

One cannot hate individual pilots on the basis of their former company, but one certainly can hate a group.

Thanks ACL, yet another example of the high cost of ignorance.

It was not your settings FWIW, there appeared to be an issue with the program that give this benefit after 25 posts.

Convert EU's to dollars.

Generally speaking even the RyanAir guys make about 200K a year and they are the cheap o labor over there.

Unless the dollar undergoes continued inflation and percentage based increases maintain the real value of the pilot contract.

Our MEC did a fine job removing the financial incentive for the Company to drag their feet.

Among your defined group are pilots who fought against the policy of the Comair MEC (like me), those who were hired after Lawson left, and current Delta pilots (who might be on their way to work, or working for you in your right seat). The problem with your grouping is that "they all look the same."

... and the worst sin committed was to try to use Delta's furloughed pilots as bargaining chips. Lawson asked the Delta MEC for help, the Delta MEC told him "no, this isn't a negotiation." Lawson replied in kind. I don't like that either, but it IS THE DELTA MEC's JOB to protect the Delta pilots, not Comair's. The Delta MEC could have simply sidestepped the Comair MEC and worked this out with the owners of Comair, DELTA.*

Holding on to bigotry illustrates a lack of knowledge, lack of objectivity and poor judgment. I'm not talking about you, because you are smarter than that.

As I recall, Delta would not get involved in this matter and left it up to the commitees. I understand the kindness of some here to not hold a grudge, but I disagree. What they did was deplorable, and they should be held accountable, even if it is several years later. I'll bet most of those guys are still there. If they didn't support their leader, then they should have told him so or impeached him. Bargaining for more pay, or better benefits is one thing, but using furloughees as bargaining chips is an unforgivable MEC and pilot group No-No. Just my thoughts, I could be wrong.
