Thanks for the answer on the pay protection, that is what I suspected.

As far as theater quals:

Good for 24 months.

Since the pacific is pretty straight forward and airways, it is not a theater that requires a qualification.

Theaters are described by city pairs, and not by a continent. Such as: Flying to DKR will not require an africa qual since it does not require the in flight broadcast frequency. Same as a flight to CAI will require a NAT qual but not an africa qual.

Outside of 72 hours you cannot WS or GS for a flight that requires a theater qual.

There's goin to be a spool up window from what I can tell.

Doesn't matter to me! I'm goin to 73N class on May 3....

I still think that six months without a crossing is going to be a pain, 24 will be insane.

Not everyone is happy with the new direction.

But I sure am....

Hey Nu. How long before you stop trying to divide the pilot group into subgroups??? We're ALL Delta pilots now. And the MEC is functioning quite well, imo. There will always be disagreements as to the best course of action, but there is no disagreement as to what the ultimate goal is --- more pay, more time off.

Agreed. Like I said, lets give the new guys a change before you hang them. I am impressed to say the least.

I haven't done a crossing since October of last year. For that matter, I haven't done an international (to SA) since January. About the only thing I gained from switching to the ER from domestic over a year ago is the priviledge of having to deal with two Jepp sets instead of one.
