Hey guys,
Caught a rumor that the number was 400 and we should start seeing new faces late summer with class early fall. Anybody else hearing anything like this? I would guess the first clue we'll see will be when our furlough bypass guys start getting letters to come to class right?

I'd treat this with a great deal of skepticism.
It's already April. We still have people in the pipeline from the last bid. We have probably 300, if not more, who are on furlough bypass or long term leave to get back on the property.
To have a shot at this, our bypass bros would need to already have their letters IN hand, and be making plans to be back in the schoolhouse yesterday and plans for interviewing folks would already have to be in the advanced stages.
What's more likely is letters going out to bypass peeps, plus ANOTHER bid here in a month or so. Digesting all of those folks over the course of the year, and MAYBE seeing new hires 1st quarter of next year.
Hate to rain on parades, but the company's current actions don't really forecast newhires until the new year.
I hope I'm wrong.

Does anybody know when the pay guarantee from MOU #8 ends? The MOU language states, "For a period of 36 months following CBAID." When was CBAID? Was that in Oct. 2008? Just trying to plan ahead!

ACL is pretty "rock" solid on predictions and "more than truth RUMORS". He is my source, however I do keep in touch with FLT OPS hr., and the lady tells me there are rumors of "hiring" in the not too distant future.

Good information from the guys, but the actual user interface of the board leaves a lot to be desired. And unless it has been fixed, the search function is worthless.

I tried posting there a couple times.... the long log in time, organization, speed, and overall build of the board is atrocious.
Hence my APC addiction.
