Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Since the 787 was in the news again today, has anyone heard anything about DAL N's 787 orders? I know I'm not allowed to fly them, but I'd still love to see you guys get them. Secondly, I'm a bit puzzled that you DAL N guys seem pretty stoked about increasing 777 time in DTW, but you guys can't fly those either. At least for 5 years. I'm not trying to open the his/yours/mine thing. I'm just wondering what I'm missing here. I guess maybe the excitement must stem from the lower positions it creates. I hate to give anything away, but if they cancel the 787 orders, I think DAL N guys should get some 777 replacements. Fair is fair. That's just the kind of guy I am. Ha
I like the fact that the company likes the 744 as well. They say they can fill em up, so lets do it!

All the other discs (other than systems) could be done on my Mac. So, Delta has the ability to produce Mac OS discs. Why they have chosen not to convert the systems disc is a mystery to me, but it does make life difficult.
A friend also sent me some powerpoint study guides. Keynote (part of the iLife suite) opens and runs them just fine, just to let you Mac guys know.
Nu;
You have a point. It adds up.
I would like to see extra data in DBMS or a new system. It would be nice to have landings done via acars, as well as many other things.
What I am seeing is steps towards some of that stuff. Everything starts with the first step. Lets make sure the steps turn in to miles.

and most of the time on one page never more than two pages.
We hope that in telling you guys about these things, you will help get us going in the path to get these things if possible. It is not meant to be taken as complaining even though it sounds like it. It will take time and I hope it happens.
FWIW, that option of a Flash Drive to store your progress is a new development. I like it. I take the CD copy it to a flash drive, and then save the position on the flash drive. Presto chango, I now have the disk on a flash drive that sits in my bag. Works well for the last year or so.
Plz bear with us in that we want things to improve for everyone and I sure hope that some or many of the things get implemented into icrew. The CMAS had your entire month of flying on it, you vacation time and balance, your sick leave and balance, your total pay and hours break down, and your perdiem. All in one place, all the info you would want,

As I explained some 5000 posts ago, it was not the complaint that it could be done better than more than likely resulted in people shouting back to sit down and deal, it was the approach.
We all want the best most practical approach to everything. It is good for us and it saves money. It makes sense. Like I said, I am starting to see changes. Upgraded FMS boxes with more memory, mods on jets, etc. These are some quick first steps. Lets keep it going.
It might just be that you are mistaking S guys for N guys. Most of us N guys don't want to loose flying to the 777 but that is the companys decision not ours. 777 guys probably don't like giving up jfk-nrt and tlv either. Hopefully they have some really smart people in yield management and put the right planes on the right routes. My one big worry is that I'm not sure DAL knows how to max out cargo revenue. Many times on the 747 most of the people were gravy because of the cargo load.
I don't know about how NWA's pilot groups (not DAL N) contracts and union decisions went, but for DAL, the most senior guys always seemed to get a better deal somehow. This merger was no different there. The top guys were protected with a fence on both sides. I have mixed feelings about that, but then I missed all of that and should not dredge it up again. What it is, is what it is.
As I mentioned a few hundred pages back. I think this management is a better group than we've had since Dave Garrett ran the place. In the past, we have always been told "There's no money in freight." Our facetious response was, "Yeah, FedEx will never make it." Their response was that they were set up for freight and we weren't. Maybe this group will come together on the freight thing.
You are correct, but misdirected. My wife is a DAL S FA, not a DAL N FA. She has already been trained on ALL equipment and she wants the integration to be completed. Until DAL N FA's drop the grievance, we aren't going to be "one with the ball."
By the way, have you ever watched "THE MAN SONG?" It's hilarious. Google it.

My wife was a USAir FA, left in 2000 when our daughter was born, not NWA.
The SLI was completed in Dec '08, SOC happened 12/31/09, we had the first combined AE published on 01/01/10, if that still doesn't make you believe we are ONE pilot group, regardless of what the FA's say, you will never come around.
I feel bad for the DAL-N guys that have to fly with you as it is obvious you will not consider them part of your team, that will be the Threat on the brief!
DAL, CAL and Alaska recommended stock buys.
