Upon notifying his Chief Pilot or his designee, a pilot will be released from duty when a death occurs in his immediate family. A pilot’s “immediate family” includes his:
m. grandparents-in-law
Such pilot will be paid and credited as shown on his line for a period of up to four consecutive days beginning with the first duty period or reserve on-call day from which he was released.
Sorry for the loss.

In the next contract lower pay ain't gonna happen. Now if you said we'd take a 10% raise instead of 15% (figures just for speculation) and get the 50+ seats back, then you might be onto something.

Thanks Denny, for the info and the condolences. Appreciate it, guys.
The DC-9-30/40s have manf. dates mostly from 67 to 71. They have about 80-100,000 hours. A few -10s also went over 100,000 hours. Oldest DC-9-50 was delivered in 1975 (to AAA) and has close to 80,000. Most are 1978-80 deliveries, youngest was delivered April 1981. Rear bulkhead has to be redone at 104,000.
The average Joe-Flyer may not care that the CRJ-900 isn't a DC9 or 737, other than it being a bit smaller inside. HVC sure do notice and want/need the wifi to work. A CRJ, even a larger one, may not cut the mustard if it's missing things like Wifi.
Need some technical help guys. I usually use Firefox for my browser and have not had any problems on this forum until this week. One day while reading the posts the page was wider than the browser window so I tried to adjust the "view" setting. I changed it to "hybrid" mode. Now when I try to open this thread the page is blank. I can't find a way to reset that view because I can't get back to this thread. Other threads open fine. This is only occurring on my laptop and only using Firefox. I can use IE on the laptop just fine. Any ideas?
